The joy and ease of receiving smartcash via email
Smartcash is a community driven and merchant friendly cryptocurrency.
Its development team is working hard and rolling out feature after feature that makes it a cryptocurrency that is super easy to use,has a fast transaction time and a very small transaction fee.
The small transaction fee works out to a fraction of a cent.On top of it there are many ways you can send this crypto currency to anyone in the world.
Wallet to wallet sending is a feature present in all cryptocurrencies. Smartcash goes a step forward and lets its users send smartcash via sms and email.
Recently I got the opportunity to receive some smartcash via email.The process is super easy and all you need is the email of the person (recipient) to whom you want to send smartcash. He can be in any geographical location and may not even have a smartcash wallet.
I have tried sending smartcash from my web wallet. I find this feature very useful.
I would illustrate the process of receiving smartcash in your email.
Typically you would receive an email with the title
“You received 50.103 SmartCash (pickup by September 06, 2018)”
The title of the email specifies the amount of smartcash received and the pickup date by which you have to claim your smartcash.
There is a pickup window of 7 days from the time the smartcash is sent to you.
You are supposed to withdraw this smartcash into your wallet within this time frame failing which the smartcash would be sent back to the sender.
To ensure that this is a genuine mail and not a phishing attempt check the senders email and the reply to email. It should read
Send Smart by Email[email protected]
Reply-To: [email protected]
Steps to claim your smartcash.
i)
Click on the “withdraw now” button
This takes you to the following screen.
ii)
In case you have a smartcash wallet enter your smartcash address..
In case you do not have a smartcash wallet you can create one using the link provided on the screen.
iii)
Entering your smartcash address and hitting the withdraw button trigger the withdrawal process and a confirmation email is sent to your inbox.
Clicking on the link in your email completes the withdrawal process.

Well-written article and it's very informative. For those using SmartCash, I think it would be helpful.
It's a cool concept, but I wouldn't be comfortable receiving Smart Cash by email. There are too many phishing attempts out there and this one seems ripe for imposters and scammers. Wallet to wallet transactions would be safer. Or even sending to the email address that's associated with a wallet.
I also don't understand why you would "withdraw" your funds to your wallet if you've already received it. That seems semantically incorrect. Oh, well.

I agree with the phishing bit, but “withdrawing” it to your wallet is the same way pay-pal works when you “withdraw” it to bank account.
Ahh, ok. I was thinking that when they "send" it to you, that you still have to "withdraw" it to your smartcash wallet. I was trying to figure out why you would withdraw it if it was already in your wallet. Seemed weird. Heh. Can't get one past @thedamus!

Now let me address the issue of "withdraw" with an example.
Suppose I want to send to you 100 smartcash. I send them to your email.
So the email you receive is only a notification that 100 smartcash are available for you to withdraw if you choose to do so.
If you go ahead with the "withdraw" process the money gets transferred to your wallet address.
Failing to withdraw within a 7 day window sends the smartcash back to the senders wallet.

Interesting that the transaction isn't actually completed and "withdrawn" from the sender's wallet until you complete it.
