What is your offence?
If you do not develop a strong secret history with Jesus in the secret place, you will lose your ability to see or discern.
You will lose your liberty and work under fear and will work under the conditions that you are not created for. I often ask a question when a discussion results around the issue of Peter and Judas Iscariot’s sin.
This question is always like this ‘whose sin is worse, Judas Iscariot or Peter?’ Most times people say Judas Iscariot considering the fact that he sold Jesus. Well, considering the fact that they all existed under the law including Jesus who came to fulfil the law, Judas Iscariot “repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priest and elders, saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood…and he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself (Matthew 27:3-5)”.
Under the law, when a man repents from an error or sin, he does restitution. Judas Iscariot did that but under the law he was supposed to bring a lamp, but he decided to be the lamb for his sin and that is where he made a grievous mistake because he was not a lamb worthy enough to be sacrificed for the remission of sin, not even his sin. Peter denied Jesus thrice; he did not apologize, there was no ‘restitution’, he only wept bitterly (Matthew 26:75) and to him that was enough.
Judas sold the Christ for monetary gain while Peter sold his confidence and denied the Truth.
