Make Impact!

I will want us to take out time, pause if you have to and ponder over a few questions.

1. Do you know what it means to make impact?
2. Are you busy in order to make impact, or just busy doing nothing or very busy resisting making impact?
3. Do you keep exerting and exerting, expending so much energy with no impact and wondering where did the hour go?
4. As a sower, are you sowing your time creatively and wisely?
5. For all my time and energy expended, what do I have to show?

As you are pondering over this questions, please read these scriptures: I Cor 9:20-26 and John 10: 37-39

In Jesus teaching in Matthew 5 one thing he said about us as the body of believers is that we are the salt of the earth. Salt when added to season food, its meant to make an impact; to alter the taste and make it better for consumption. If the contrary were to be the case something is wrong with the salt. Salt can also be a preservative for food and it also prevents deterioration.

Do forget, too much of salt in a meal can make a negative impact as well as having no salt in it. For the impact to be positive and in food, fit and good for consumption, the salt must be used in the right proportion. It must be adequate enough to make positive impact.

As a nation we have had so many people come out with manifestos stating that they want to make impact but end up impacting the nation negatively. We have had issues with this in our socio-cultural institutions, economic and political sphere and in fact in the total growth and development of the nation.

58 years of independence and we havent been able to tackle one problem effectively as a nation; not even electricity.

To Measure your impact is more critical rather than just continuing to expend energy. Don’t sign up for everything, you don’t need to get involved with everything because it will be at the expense of your priorities.

Make a impact today and measure the impact you make.
