WHAT TIME IS THE RIGHT TIME?
So today, while having a conversation with an old friend, I asked him when he intended to get married and settle down for good. This was his reply:
I'm waiting for the right time.
So I then proceeded to ask him what his definition of the right time was and he said:
First, I need to secure myself a well paying job, get a decent accommodation, and be sure that I am financially stable before I can think about getting married.
So I asked one last question: what are you doing to guarantee yourself the financial security you are talking about? And with this, he was dumb founded.
The truth is, most of us hide behind the 'right time' as an excuse to do nothing. You will often here people say that ' God's time is the best'. I like to think of myself as a religious person and for that matter I believe in the above statement. But I think a lot of us misunderstand or misinterpret this saying. The quotation illustrates the need for us to have faith, to keep working hard, keep doing what we doing and to be hopeful that we will make a brake through when the Lord wills it. It doesn't how ever suggest that we should fold our arms and wait for God's time.
In my friend's case for instance, I agree with him that some level of financial sustenance is necessary for a successful and comfortable marriage. But financial sustenance doesn't fall from the sky, it is achieved. There is no such time as the right time, every time is a potential right time. You just need to pick up the time you have and make it right. Life is like a cascade of challenges, a series of problems or if you like a chain of obstacles. At any point in your life, there's always that last problem to be fixed. Problem after problem and they never seem to end.
We all have that one goal that we are waiting to accomplish, hoping for the right time to arrive. Ask yourself these 2 simple questions.
- What is the right time for me to achieve the said goal?
- What am I doing to ensure that the right time comes?
Don't get me wrong, some things take time, but you need to be sure you are doing every thing you can.

So take charge of your time today and make it into what ever you wish.

Right time never comes. But sometimes, its difficult to seize the moment.
That's true, But like I said, you need to be sure that you have done everything within your power.
That happens because people often are too busy in either thinking and crying over what they couldn't do in the past or they are too lost in their wishful thinking of a perfect world which eventually makes them unconscious of the fact that they are losing their present.
I always remind people that often God's plan is plan B, so you have to be willing to go with plan B if you want to really receive the blessing. Problem is, if you don't have a plan A, you can't be sent plan B!
So we must move into action even though we know we don't have perfect wisdom and knowledge, trusting that once we start, a greater power will lead us on from there.

How I take Plan A and Plan B in my life?
I believe in Plan A 100% and I don't allow my thoughts to even think about Plan B because then it creates your doubt on Plan A and since this world is binary, either it's 0 or 1. Either it will happen or it won't. So, even keeping 0.01% doubt in the Plan A will make one fail with the plan and Plan B is nothing but a way of running away from the failure of Plan A.
Receptivity and responsiveness to feedback coming from the situation as you execute is not the same as doubt. You can't act with blinders on, too committed to your original idea, formulated with limited experience, such that you are unable to build on what's happening and achieve more than you originally thought possible.

This post reminds me of one of the scenes from the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness" when Will Smith's son tells him a joke about a drowning man and how his blind faith about god saving him made him drown even when he came across 3 boats to save his life and he denied saying that "God will save me" and then when he dies and asks god why didn't you save me, the god said, "I sent you 3 boats to save your life".
Time is the most precious thing in life and once it's gone, it's gone. Everyone of us have 1440 minutes a day, some start their day early and some late. Some use it to grow and some waste it for no reason watching tv, playing video games and won't work on changing things which needed to be acted upon and then they crib and cry that things aren't happening in life.
There will not come a time when we won't have any problems in life, with age and experiences we upgrade our problems in life. Well, I won't call them problems but challenges and challenges have solutions.
The only problem with most people is they don't realise the sense of urgency that is required to do anything. There isn't any security of anything in life. Be it job, life, relationships, marriage... everything is temporary. What is permanent in the current moment is that moment itself and once it is lost, it's lost.
THE RIGHT TIME WILL NEVER COME.
