Outlaws and Angels 7/10

At the Sundance Festival of 2016, praise was given to this thrilling Western

Starring Luke Wilson, Chad Michael Murray and Francesca Westwood.

A group of robbers - merciless murderers on the run with a high prize on her head ($ 8,000, like 100,000 in today's times) chooses to flee to Mexico through the desert and murderous parts to prevent police and bounty hunters from chasing her. It works when only one bounty hunter and his soldier decide to take the risk.

The group of robbers, who are about to dry out without water and food, encounters the isolated home of a devout Christian family - two parents and two daughters. She invades him to eat, wash and sleep for a few hours, but things get complicated when the leader falls in love with the beautiful young daughter ...

The one who remained with open ends; the younger daughter, Florence, did not pretend and did fall in love with Henry. She murders her sister who gave her life and her father who raped her for years, and her sister who got pregnant at the age of 11 and therefore had an abortion that would prevent her from having the ability to give birth in the future. She decides to spare the mother who knew about the father's actions, leaving her a bag of coins from the loot of the group, and leaving the house with the group to the nearby church where she will marry Henry and thence to Mexico.

On the Mexican border, Florence, who has long been trusted by the gang, murders her husband and two partners, "because $ 8,000 is a lot of money."

The name of the film: Of course there are no angels in this film, no character is close to the typical "character of goodness" familiar to most movies, angels mean the relatively warm relations formed between the criminals and the household, which eventually allow Florence to make an exit and start life anew.

The Hebrew name "criminals and angels" versus the original "Outlaws and Angels" is stamped and translated accurately.

Rating: 7 Stars out of 10 . It is also a good thriller for those who do not really connect with Westerners (like me). However, the film is not short (two hours), so the encounter between Josia and the murderers is completely lacking.
