The Millennials

The Millennials, a term uncommon to some but applicable to most .

It’s 2018, a period of technology, computers and continuous evolution, since the inception of technology , the general perspective of duty and responsibility have taken a less advocating turn, the zeal with which one strives to succeed is at ease, in other words living has basically become EASY. A time when success is measured in relationship goals , social significance and media recognition , nonetheless it is necessary to point out that this era has produced the worlds brightness, wisest, richest and best in most fields, but that is only a fraction of the entire population.

Millennial is a word used to describe persons birthed in the 80’s or 90’s, growing in a time of comparative simplicity and social prior , most perceive those of these time as weak and clueless adding that these young adults due to parental influence has all given on a platen without labour or care to know-how. Consequently parents pride themselves on claims that they have laboured much and for such reasons their offspring won’t face same. The academic records of present time, rate most students as average, seconded by the percentage scaling through the failure mark point, but only a fraction excelling. Parents on encounter with such grades console their kids and fault the teachers, claiming the child’s brilliance doesn’t lie on paper. Basically there are so many faults to this effect, some of which is parental neglect, social anxiety and possibly technology. This kids eventually grow into young adults with no plan for the future, no experience against adversity and no sense of self responsibility. Though some thrive on this disadvantage, turning stumbling blocks into stairs, a majority of this young adults are directionless and finalize struggling to make ends meet.

On this note, it is of right action to advice both guardians and youths on awareness of this. Being a millennial myself I do know how harmful these could be, in actual sense such a problem can only exponent negatively, resulting in unimaginable consequence.

Millenials do get a bad rap from their elders in general. Some of it is deserved in many cases but they're not all the same. I was born just before 1980 so technically I'm in the strange little era that falls between generation X and the millenials.

Life getting easier does have something to do with it but I agree parents need to let their children own their own failures at least some of the time or else the child will grow up to be an unhappy, directionless adult.

I've seen this happen in my own life with people I know who have graduated from college expecting to land their dream job right away and they end up living with their parents until they are in their late 20's or even early 30's (and the parents still enable it).

There are some that are very bright, tough, and talented though and a lot of them are the geniuses that keep this platform up and running. I'm 38 years old and many of the witnesses here and people developing apps are younger than me--so they are millenials and they are very successful in my book.

I don't know if they're the exception to the rule or not. I don't want to add to the negativity surrounding the millenial generation so I'll leave it at that.

Nice piece.

you are so right , yes there are a lot successful and admirable out there , but it finally falls to the majority .
thanks for your input sir . i do appreciate
