THOUGHT DISRUPTION: Every Mistake Is a Chance to Learn

It takes wisdom to detect an error. If you are not aware of how it's done before or after your error, you might never know your mistake.

When i see people complain over their mistakes or that of their partners, colleagues or friends, it gives me joy to know that they're wise enough to detect the mistake.

You might never detect an error in a finished good without a background knowledge of how the product should be in its final state. This then makes it important to first get acquainted with laid down principles guiding your craft or discipline. With this, you can detect errors and mistakes and in extension be provided with a chance to learn.

Creativity is nothing new! Creativity is faking an old product or idea to appear new. Its hiding or discarding the weaknesses of an old product or idea.

Most creative ideas, came as a result of a calculated mistake encountered when an old principle was wrongly executed. Mistakes are an uncontrolled deviation from the norm.

Thomas Edison carried out 1,000 failed experiments. I believe this he did following the laid down principles and ethics. But the mistake (an uncontrolled deviation from the norm) on the 1001th experiment resulted to a shining bulb.

But would there be anything new if no mistake was made?
No mistake means old ways were replicated or interpreted properly. That witl bring about same results as before. A mistake entails a new result, a new product.

Condemning oneself, or ignoring your mistakes offers nothings other than stagnation and sadness. Exploring your mistakes with the sole aim of detecting its usefulness is growth.

Thus when a mistake is made, desire to learn. Seek the bunch of knowledge embedded there in. Those who succeed in life, are those who took risks, made mistakes, learnt from their mistakes and kept on the cycle.

Mistakes ain't to be ignored or condemned. They're meant to teach!

Your perfection might set you above, but your mistakes sustains you above. When mistakes are wrongly interpreted (either by seeing it as curse or an ugly situation) it pulls down firms but when they are seen as lecture halls to acquire deeper and unrevealed knowledge, they expands firms.

So what do you do when you make a mistake?

Sit, calculate and report your steps thus you could replicate same if the mistake is profitable or avoid it if it's not

Examine and detect the lessons behind your mistakes. What could have happened if everything went well. Does the result of this mistake have any lesson to teach?

With this, you can achieve more, create more and as well avoid more.
For mistakes are nothing but an opportunity to acquire knowledge.
