My part in steepshot promotion

Introduction

Photography and photo sharing are major constituents of social media. It's impossible to extract photo sharing from social media. Even now social media platforms for sharing majorly photos and videos have sprung up. Example is Instagram although it's not open source.

• My work as an influencer:
  Being a moderator on utopian, I've recently engaged in promoting open source projects in Nigeria, and not just reviewing them, especially the ones linked with steemit.

• Social accounts I have:
  I've have accounts on Facebook and Instagram, but I'm more keen to Facebook as I have lots of friends and followers in it.

• Why I'm helping this project go viral:
  A lot of social media users in Nigeria are active on instagram, sharing photos daily without the slightest hope of getting rewarded from it. Steepshot is same as instagram in all regards even with better benefits. However it has little or no recognition because it is not really known by many persons hence the need to promote it.

This is the first promotion I'm doing for this project. There will more promotions for this project at subsequent times.

Activity

To establish a connection and reach out to my target audience about the project steepshot, I made a post about steepshot on my facebook page dedicated for bringing visibility to several open source projects. In the post I explained steepshot to the proposed audience and also told them how to get the app or they could visit the website. The post after being being made was boosted with over #6,000 which is an estimate equivalent of $20 capable of reaching the target audience I stated above.

From the promotion, the total percentage of men reached was an estimate of 78% while women was 22%

The first screenshot above shows the total amount of people reached and total engagements from the boost

This second screenshot is details of the boost. Judging from the boost details, there is an incorrect details of total people reached. On the post page it shows over 7,000 people were reached and also the post had over 4,000 engagements. This should be an issue from facebook. In any case from the boost results I reached a minimum of 5,000 persons.
