Too Perfect

in #photography5 years ago

I'm stuck on the prairies this summer.

Sipping my evening beer on my balcony fighting mosquitoes.

But I have some great memories.

Last year we were vacationing for three weeks in Dubai. It was amazing.

Here are some of my thoughts about Dubai.

A modern city with 2M citizens. Busy 8 line highways, 130 km/h speed limit. Crazy traffic.

It was in April and we caught the last bearable days before the summer heat.

New buildings and promenades, fancy street art. Every detail carefully planned and executed.

You can literally smell the money.

Some shots from the new promenade which I forgot the name of and I don't have time to find out.

Enjoy.

Did you noticed what's missing?

I'll tell you what.

People.

My conclusion?

No alcohol!

They only serve coffee, ice cream, and smoothies.

They are delicious, don't get me wrong, but I can stop in five or six pubs in one evening and drink a glass of beer in a single one of them.

But I can't drink six smoothies or six ice creams, for sure.

So much about perfect planning.

You can't change human behavior.

Not even with Hard Forks if you know what I mean.

No, you cannot change human behavior with hard forks ... well maybe the real kind. LOL. Dubai looks amazing. Less people out and about isn't necessarily a bad thing. Beats fighting the crowds

I was surprised with all the pop art and quaint. I usually think of skyscrapers and modernity when I think of Dubai. It was a nice surprise:)

Cool old car :) .... hey which model car it is ? :)

Nice :) Cheers :)
