Anyone else browse the new post category?. I often do and randomly upvote stuff I find interesting. My vote isn't huge but it is enough to give people some hope in the platform I think. Hopefully it makes them want to engage.
I just know the frustration of joining something and not being able to get traction.
I was fortunate enough to come across with some Doge earnings and an awesome friend who hooked me up with the ins and outs of the platform.
Do you feel steemit will always be the go to decentralized blog? I read that EOS is threatening to make a superior platform since the developer has a vendetta ...sounds like he is bs grandstanding (Dan L)
I find people chase rainbows, but if someone is making bank here, I see no reason for them to bail on it. Especially if you have made personal connections here.

I haven't done this yet because it is my first day on steemit and I am still figuring out how things work. I have made a few posts though and hoping for some support as well as guidance. Once I get it all figured out I will be doing the same thing

Yes it is. Me and oldschool repair go way back to my begining my steemit journey like 4 months ago lol. He is a hell of a good guy. He use to mine dogecoin back in the day and runs a motorcycle repair business in canada and works the oil fields. I make a point to stop in by all of his posts just to say hi sometimes because he was probably one of the first 3 people on here that took intrest in me and I feel that I owe him the respect of keeping up with what is going on with him and his blog. His family member got sick and he took some time off posting for a bit. I have not seen him post in a while so i stoped by to throw in a little upvote and let him know that i am still keeping up with him. We have spent many hours bullshiting back and forth from everything from chisling concrete to strippers. I doubt you want more details than that. :)
So yes sometimes i do give a shitty reply just so someone knows i am still there for them. I will do better next time. Better?

You will learn to love @beeyou . She is like my helicopter mom or maybe more like my internet wife and we only stay togeather because of the kids while making snarky remarks at each other over dinner. I am just kidding, She is a really nice gal and I am lucky she still talks to me. She is really good at keeping me in line for the most part which i am sure is a near full time job. If you still love helping out newbies you should check out @newbieresteemday , I have delegated some of my steem power to them because I remember how hard it was starting out and they help out new folks on the platform like you did for me @oldschoolrepair . I really appreciate what you did for me and probably the countless number of other newcomers to the platform. You are a really good dude. Thank you.
I'm going to check that out. I haven't delegated yet, not sure what is involved with it. Or if they can abuse it in any way.
For sure, do your due dilagense. They are a good group of folks. They only deal with accounts below 45 SP and try and acclimate newbies to how it works around here. They have a discord channel if you are interested in that.

Only the introduceyourself post category now and then for me, if I have the time. Very nice of you to want to support others and encourage them to stay on the platform. If I may point you to Asher's list of people on league 2, many of them are newbies and are also engagers in the community. They stay despite the pitiful earning because they enjoy the community aspect of this platform. That's also another place to start. Some of the newbies in league 2 don't make much from their posts, but they continue to chug along.
