Learn To Always See The Good In Others:

This is how to be proactive to people around you. It is not how people are when they come to us that matters but what they become by the virtue of being around us. When people become better around you, it is a reflection of your character and the nobility in your approach. When their lives are enhanced, it is a reflection of your great character.

We need to see the best in others to bring out the best in them. God saw the good in Saul and we were blessed with the great apostle of Paul in the Bible. When people come around you, are they losing their fears or their confidence? Are they losing their self-doubt or their self worth? Are they losing their skepticism or their optimism? Are they losing their worries or their peace?

Everyone can recognize a treasure in a treasure box but only the wise can recognize a treasure in a thrash. Everyone can also recognize a king in the palace but it takes only the wise to recognize a king in a manger.

Isaiah 42:3 (NIV)

A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;

People are going through so much and have gone through so much. When they come into your space don't complicate their lives. Be the one to see the best and bring out the best in people. Let people become better by the virtue of their association with you. We are to become a source of hope, a breath of fresh air to those around us. We are to build people up rather than tear them down. Our words should be seasoned with Grace and Salt as written in Colossians 4:6.

When we have faith in people, they begin to measure up to the faith we have in them, gradually. They won't get there overnight but they will begin to make efforts. Soon, they will become better than you met them.

Guard Your Heart:

Increased contacts with others also bring about an increase in your vulnerability. The greater your proximity to others the greater your vulnerability. Leaving in isolation is a violation of the principles of life. The Bible even says "Woe to those who are alone". God sets the solitaries in families because there is a blessing in companies we just have to learn to guard our hearts rather than run away from people.

If you close your heart from being hurt, you are also closing your heart from being helped. Most of what God wants to do for you and what He has for you, He will do it through people. "...Good measures, shaken together and running over shall MEN give back to your bosom"

It is essential for believers to have a non-discriminatory mindset like Christ. Though we need to be wary around unbelievers, Believers should cultivate the habit of seeing people for the vessels they can be for Christ.

Yes, we need to be worthy examples.
