Kamiros-an ancient city in the North-West of the island, one of the most powerful policies of Rhodes, whose heyday was in the V century BC Kamiros maintained economic ties with Asia Minor and mainland Greek city-States, actively developed agriculture and minted its own coin. In the III century A.D. in Rhodes there was a devastating earthquake, as a result of which the inhabitants left Kamiros, and the city fell into decay.

Камирос - античный город на северо-западе острова, один из самых могущественных полисов Родоса, чей расцвет пришелся на V век до н.э. Камирос поддерживал экономические связи с Малой Азией и материковыми греческими городами-государствами, активно развивал сельское хозяйство и чеканил собственную монету. В III веке н.э. на Родосе произошло разрушительное землетрясение, в результате которого жители покинули Камирос, и город пришел в упадок.
