BeyondBitcoin Bounties -- Whaleshares "Meta-Token" Logo Contest! (Round 1/3) [Winners Revealed Inside!]
WhaleShares Logo Competition Round 1 has Concluded!
So We Know You Want to Know the Winners of The 1st WhaleShares Logo Contest...
But in Case you didn't already know, we'd like to inform you...
So First a Little Bit about WhaleShares...
I am an avid community builder who started in Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs--MMOs for short). In fact those who listen to our Beyond Bitcoin Hangouts will know that I am the person who talked about community coins within the Steem Ecosystem from nearly day one of launch. So if you are not listening...its obvious you are not listening to something that even steemit inc leadership listens to!
But I digress. WhaleShare tokens are a way of bringing a point system that enables rewarding of people of renown in steemit much like I could reward them within past gaming communities. So when I give you tokens, all you have to do is send them to the WhaleShares account on The Fastest and Most Decentralized DEX in the World along with the URL Link Provided by our WhaleShares Tool on WhaleShares.Net and you effectively summon a Genie Whale to upvote you at a % based on how many tokens you sent!
The Theory is that giving people who actively earn these tokens the super power of summoning whales will in time yield better results and distribution of the reward pool through the webs of trust and free market that grow around it. We believe the community will protect its tokens and we have many, many plans.
Why WhaleShares?
WhaleShares was meant to reduce friction and help end the rule of "upvote bots" on steemit and other static methods that completely take human interaction out of the equation. @officialfuzzy and the Beyond Bitcoin team believe in whales being benevolent sharers of their SP via the creation of an economic tool that promotes powering up and dissincentivizes powering down---THIS MAKES STEEM GO UP IN DEMAND AND PRICE AS WHALES STOP POWERING DOWN!
We believe the Upvotes can be the basis for an informal economy based on the trust of a community and Beyond Bitcoin, as the community that inspired Steem's very creation, means to use this tool to empower the evolution of the community we all have grown to love. According to my calculations, the WhaleShares token can pay out approximately 210k per year WITHOUT me powering down! I intend to use these tokens to pay community members who help and beyond bitcoin so we can continue to do what we do best---ACTUALLY Caring and building!!
Review of the Contest
We could make one ourselves as at least 2/3 of the whaleshares team has graphic design skills but we thought we'd rather leave it up to you, the steem community, to design our logo and compete for some vote tokens (aka whaleshares). Contest will be in three rounds and each user can submit one entry per round. We will decide the winner from each round who will then move on to the final round where the steem community can vote on their favorite entry. Guidelines for entries are as follows:
Entries must be 1000 px x 1000 px square
Entries must be in .png format with a clear background
Entries must include the Bitshares and Steem logos
Entries must include a whale
Prizes for the 3 preliminary rounds are:
First prize: 1000 whaleshares
Second prize: 500 whaleshares
Third prize: 250 whaleshares
Prizes for the final round are:
First prize: 2000 whaleshares
Second prize: 1000 whaleshares
Third prize: 500 whaleshares

P.S. this was very difficult to choose and I hope the contestants from this round join in the mext round because there were many amazing entries.
Thank you for trusting me...
Hi, guys! Today I just found out about your contest and I see that the first round has already ended, but can I offer you my version of the logo?
The whale is original, not from cliparts...
I have to add that this was an incredibly difficult contest to judge. There were so many amazing entries it was really hard to narrow it down. Me and Fuzzy had to talk about this several times and lots of thought was put into it. I hope rounds 2 and 3 are as good as this one turned out to be and if you didn't win this round maybe adjust your previous entry a little bit and reenter it as there were definitely a few that we really liked and may be winners in the other rounds if there are slight adjustments.
Its so true.
Congratulation to @lepton , @penguinpablo & @kyriacos on winning the Whaleshares Logo competition.... thanks @officialfuzzy for sharing the updates....
Amen.
And you are very welcome. Im just trying to help organize the community w/ @jphenderson and a merry band of misfits. ;)
Thanks!
logo contests are hard. would probably choosen the same logo. Congrats to all winners.
Do we post here or is there another entry post for round 2?
There will be another one for #2 and #3...then finally for the Grand Championship.
Thanks :)
yeah i liked @lepton the most too..excellent contest though!
Congratulations to the awesome winning designers! What a talented community here in STEEM Land !
Those are some clean designs! The steem logo as a wave was genius.
Nice work @lepton, @penguinpablo and @kyriacos. You have chosen well @officialfuzzy.
Congratulation to the winners and good lucky to you !
Whaleshares are the best :)
Congratulations to all winning designers!
I personally like 2nd place logo from @penguinpablo...
Yeh was hard. All were very good. The question was more about what would fit on a website best as its logo...but also have multiple uses in other places. The minimalistic approach to @leptons was perfect for us.
Now with that said...if there were other situations where we primarily needed it, then maybe the end choive would have been different. All of them were amazing.
