Strangely Shaped Mushrooms
I see less and less of these each year, but I did find a few two days ago: it is the candlestick fungus aka stag's horn fungus (Xylaria hypoxylon), geweizwam in Dutch:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO1600, f5.6, 1/50s
Even stranger: the yellow stagshorn (Calocera viscosa), kleverig koraalzwammetje in Dutch:

Olympus Stylus 1s, 42mm, ISO100, f8, 1.6s
With this shape and a colour fit for Tuesdays it looks like something you would expect to find in a tropical coral reef, not in a Dutch peat bog, but there you have it.
Thanks for watching!
Nice and great photo.
Nice pictures!
Thank you.
Very nice! I saw those orange ones before but not the blue/grey variety...
That's quite interesting! Fungi are weird. :)
Indeed they are. I'm off to find some more 8-).
Nice colours. Where did you find them ?
Around a peat bog near Enschede, The Netherlands.
They are amazing - I have not seen anything like those before - quite pretty and the orange is an amazing colour!
Very interesting. I'm constantly amazed at the variety of the mushroom world. I particularly like the second (yellow) one. Thanks!
Those are really freaking cool! Yeah, you are right though, the bottom one does look more like tropical reef coral. Thanks for sharing, these are awesome.
