Dragonflies are still about, yay!
It was an unusually warm and sunny day for September here yesterday, so I decided to have a look to see if the dragonflies were still about in the local peat bog, and they were; I got some nice pictures, even though the background was a bit autumnish here and there:
A ruddy darter:

A common darter, seemingly asking "Is this composition working for you?" It is, thanks.
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO125, f2.8, 1/500
His wife:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO100, f2.8, 1/1000
The smaller damselflies were also around:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 200mm, ISO200, f5.6, 1/320
Then, this monster landed right next to me, dwarfing all the others at 7.5cm (3") body length. It's a southern hawker, not in its eventual colours yet, so a young one:
Olympus Stylus 1s, 300mm, ISO200, f8, 1/125
All in all, not a bad day for taking pictures, but then, it never is.
Last one - military modification :)
=D
@ocrdu I love dragonflies and damselflies <3
They're very cute and they've helped me combat aphids in my garden so often.
And as a bonus, they eat mosquitos too!
