This is my entry for the contest hold by @onceuponatime , hope you like it.

It was the end of the road and I was staring at the huge gate, the gate which was old, seemed like haven't been opened for years, most of the metal eaten away and the spider web at the corner, I don't know what made me think there is something inside like I wanted to open the door and wanted to see for myself "what must be inside", "why this door hasn't been opened for years" .So I approached the door pulled the lock open and started to push the door, when I opened the door, the door started to open slowly making some scratching sound.it was quite difficult to push it open but somehow I managed.

The room was full of darkness and with me opening the door the ray of light scattered inside making the dust particles floating in the air visible.My heartbeat started to tremble and blood flowed with all the turbulence from head to toe. As I stepped into the room, the tap sound echoed all over the place as my shoes struck the ground.the place smelled full of earth.As I started to move forward I found a box, a box which was made full of gold and Studded with pearls and one big piece of diamond at the top.it was illuminating, enough to make its surrounding visible.While moving to the box millions of questions arose in my head about

• What is this box?

• What is inside it?

• Haven't anyone opened the door before?

• Is this situation even real or am I dreaming?

As I came close to the box.My hands started to shiver, so did my body. As the box was on a wooden tool like thing lower in height. I kneeled down to my knees and started to keenly observe the box. Just below the box was some piece of paper which was torn out but the piece I was holding had a picture of some jackal-headed Anubis and some script written in the Persian language, though I didn't understand the Persian scripture it felt like there was something special in the box.i placed the paper by the side and started to see how to open it. It had hooks on its side I loosened the hooks and left it open.
I lifted the upper part of the box and looked inside the box There was a Book which was metalled all around and had some skull heads on it, it kind off frightened me as I was all alone in the darkness.
There was something written in the book I cleared it with my hand and blew the dust away and there was something written in the Persian language

I quickly pulled out my cell phone from the pocket and googled it, it meant

"Death Note"

I was shocked to the soul, I knew about the death note it was related to the book of death, I took the book and the box with me, put them into my backpack, left the place running and got out.It felt like I was not breathing, I took a deep breath and got into my car.I drove the car to the sacred place (a place I knew was about 2 miles away), the place which is pure where no spirit or any ghost can enter, I took out the book from the backpack, lit it with fire, what I saw was quite different behavior of fire ,first it blew with blue fire, second while it started to catch fire some screaming sound came out of the book I was frightened, I was sweating cold waiting for when it will end ,and the third thing I observed was it left no ash behind nothing, no residue at all as if nothing ever happened .It was quite a moment,

I left the place done as soon as possible now what I was left with was the box, the box of gold, pearls and diamond, it was all mine now but I was scared too, to take the risk to stay cursed, nobody wants that, I never wanted to feel the jinx ..I made my mind , I left the greed and I drove my car to the sea that was half an hour away from the place .I took the box and splashed it into the sea drowning the secret to the death and making myself free of the cursed things ...

I guess i saved the world
