CONTEST: Where And When Did You Find Steemit And How Do You See Steemit So Far In Your Steem Journey?

Introduction

Thank you @udyliciouz for extending the invitation to me to join in the contest. I most say that I may not join for the purpose of wining the contest. But the topic itself is worthy of writing a post on by every steemians on the platform. But wait a minute, were do I start to write the story? Well, every journey must have the starting point, so I will start where it all started from.

Where Did I Find Steemit?

Unlkke others, I fund steemit right in my office at No.15 Ikpa Road, Uyo, Akws Ibim State, Nigeria, precisely August 2021, which is 11months ago.

When Did I Found Steemit?

Like I said, I found it in my office when @mamuelhooks came to my office to charge his phone. It all started when he was showing something to my student in his phone while chaging and I heard him say "you cash out". At that point I jokingly said, "what are you cashing out in my office?" Then @manuelhooks said, "sorry, I was showing them my steemit post". Then I replied, "which one is steemit again, you guy will not stop introducing new things". The reason for my responding that way was that, at that time there was so many crypto site that I have been introduced to which ofcourse came with mouth watering promises.

He then explained to me that the platform allows you to create content, post it, others votes your post and after seven days your post pays out and you claimed it into your wallet. I said it sounds good. But to be candid, I did not fully cimprehend it well since I was working on the computer, so I told him to give me the site so that I will check it at my leizure time. So, he mentioned steemit.com and I wrote it down on a piece of paper.

As soon as I was done with what I wss working on the system, I qucikly log onto the site, read some information,
and before I knew it, I have registered in less than ten minute and become the latest newbie. There amd then, the next question that came to mind was, "what next?"
Not knowing what to do next, I qiuckly moved to @manuelhooks office and told him that I have registered, he was suprised and said 'so quick?', I replied 'yes, what next?' At that ponit he started showing me how to navigate the platform and how to make a post. Two days later, I post my first achievement1 post, which is introduceyourself post

Thereafter, I also got in contact with @ngoenyi through the steemkids community telegram about a schedule training for newbies in her office. I attended the training and she being a wonderful trainer took time to explore the basic things a newbie need to know to have a proper footting in the steemit journey. These trainings received from her, @eliany, @manuelhooks, @cryptokannon, and a host of others has actually makes me a pro-newcommer today.

How Do I See Steemit So Far In My Steem Journey?

In my one year sojourn in the steemit world, I foresee a promising future in this Web 2 social media platform. The fact that people are today making a living out of steemit is a great testimony that all things being equal, with much improvement to the platform, a whole lots of bloggers will find the platform profitable to fall back on.

Conclusion

Every great idea start small. The numbers of people signing up on a daily, weekly basis shows that the once small idea is metamorphousing into a great umbreller that is expansive in nature capable of accommodating people of all works of life who wsnts to make a career out of it.

My humble suggestion to the steemit owners is to integrate token into the platform so that it will not only serve as a way of making residual income but also becomes the interface that synchronizes powerful tokens which will be traded on the money market.
