NSPART - My First Experience with DTUBE...
Hello Fellow Steemians,
This post was an after thought to correct the duplicate post I speak about below. When life gives you lemons you make lemonade right?
So tonight after I uploaded my post (see link right below) someone flagged my Unlisted Age Restricted Video that was showing my retouching process. Yes there is Artistic Nudity in it, but that is all over Youtube these days.
So I decided to got to DTUBE and check it out... And what I found is there is very little documentation, really NONE!
I uploaded a video and it didn't seem to work. So I did it again. Got it to work and was checking out the site. I went back to steemit to check the video in my post and I saw that DTUBE had posted both uploads to my timeline and with out the NFSW tag I had used!!!
I had no ides this was going to happen or that it was going to automatically post to my timeline, all I wanted was to have a video in my post that I had already made and swap it out for the youtube video.
I then discovered that DTUBE will not let you delete anything a bad design flaw. Some one will say it's because of the Blockchain, that does not matter it's still very bad design flaw and could cause all kinds of legal hassles is people are uploading content that is pirated, or let's say I see the right to an image and need to take down the retouching video.
What if a person uploads all kinds of content or even Adult content and they later changed their career and life and wants to take it down. But they can't?
Also so if I put a video in my post, now I'll also have a video posted as well?
It seems DTUBE also uses only 5 tags, but it added a "DTUBE-" to the front of them when it post to the timeline/blog. So that's how my post didn't get tagged.
So is DTUBE worth using?
Let's look at the pros and cons...
PROs...
No Youtube B.S. or Censorship.
Make money right way (but for only 7 days, not forever like youtube.)
Free (Updatedate: it's not free, it takes 25% fee of the author rewards, then years out (if that matters) you needs to reseed/pay to have them continue to exist. Thanks to steempowerpics pointing this out to me.)
Fairly easy to use.
Additional Exposure for your content.
Cons...
Can't delete or edit on DTUBE
Duplicate posts
No Documentation
Only 7 days of payout
My Conclusion...
If you produce a lot of video content that you don't care if it stays up forever, it could be an additional source of exposure and revenue. If you think you might someday not want the content up, don't use it for that content.
If anyone had more info about how I can delete things or how to not automatically post from DTUBE please let me know.

Bro why there is no nsfw tag used in this post?
I don't know I put the tag in on DTUBE and it didn't show up. First time using DTUBE. Didn't know it was going to post to my feed on here either. And I thought the first post was not working so I uploaded twice now I have two of the same. DTUBE is not ready for prime time. That's what you get when you start a site that has no documentation or FAQ.
I guess it's back to you tube for me. My intention was to put a video in my previous post. Which I did. I had no idea it was going to start posting to my feed and without all of my tags. If anyone can show me how to delete the posts let me know and I will. Sometimes a Blockchain is a hassle.

Basically you can delete posts only when no one upvoted you And has no $ value to it.
Hello @nspart, thanks for trying DTube out!
The lack of edit / delete is not a design flaw, it's just because of lack of time on my end and because there was bigger priorities. It will come soon enough. The video will be able to be deleted, however, it will remain on the IPFS network, and someone with the 'Source' link will still be able to watch the video, even if it would be hidden from DTube.
I know we currently have no documentation, it will come. The best docs you can have right now are my blog articles :-/
Technically it wouldn't be a duplicate if you uploaded on DTube, and then edited the post in steemit directly, that's what most succesful dtubers do and what I recommend.
Conclusion: please be fair and understand this is 1-man made so far and something that hasn't been done before. I'm a normal human being, I need a lot of sleep (10 hours on average), and I can get lazy sometimes. Just give me a bit of time. Also I recruited an ex-colleague of mine who is new to crypto to work on DTube with me, so you can expect updates to come out twice as fast now :D
Ok actually I see what you mean by 'duplicate' now. First time I see it happen. Did you click the 'Submit' button twice or something? Pretty weird stuff.
Now I made the post again because the first one, the video was not showing up. The permanence of the video is still and issue for me and I think flaw a lot of things could be posted that never goes away. That's scary, revenge porn, suicides, snuff films, child porn. What would happen if someone made a site or program that posited content like that into the blockchain never to be deleted and could always been seen and found by those that know how.
The potential is horrible and marginally good. How do you handle or prevent that?

The only problem with you tube is they don't allow certain content and you have to deal with people flagging your videos. The video I posted was not even explicit, and was Unlisted and Age Restricted so that I believe means someone that saw it on Steemit went out of their way to flag it.
There is a new version of DTube which is out.
You can check it out in this post and it shows ways to edit posts on blockchain.
