NEW CHANGES
So I just deleted partiko and in the coming weeks, I would be using just dtube, since it's where I earn most of my steem from.
My data usage has been increasing exponentially and it is becoming increasingly difficult to stay active. My only chance of getting cheap data is early in the morning (12-3a.m)--around this time of the day. So I would be using the rest of my time to sleep and create content.
So I have been saying I would start blogging on medium again but never really had the balls to do it. Fortunately, I took that quantum leap today and became a paid member:
One of the major reasons for taking this step is that I am getting tired of the same old rhetorics. I need change, a stream of new ideas. Today, for the first time in the last 4months I picked up a book to read--homo sapien by Noah Harari--that's scary. Scary in the sense that for the past 4months all I have been doing is accumulate steem whilst neglecting the said thing that powers my creativity. Never again.
So you guessed right, I will be posting on medium, once or twice a week and not the crazy volume of scrap I keep loading on this platform. However, I love steem and making money so I'm just going to link those articles here for those who care to read (I doubt they are many) thanks to share2steem.
Another app I want to get rid off is twitter but it does have its uses. Most of the ideas I get for my blog or vlog that is not steem related comes from Twitter, so it might stay. Also, I'm part of a campaign I have sort of neglected due to some reasons. So the likelihood of deleting twitter is low. I might also try YouTube. Well, the whole point is building a bigger audience. Steem has given me the resources I can leverage on and hopefully as I grow as a content creator it will translate into something positive for the blockchain because I consider here my home.
So for now, dtube will be the only steem interface or dapp I use. My plan is to maximize my time and resources. I don't plan to spend all day online. Maybe this is the start of something new. Maybe I can go back to writing the things I enjoy writing without feeling any pressure. Maybe I can write the poetry book I have always wanted to write. Maybe I can focus more on becoming a better spoken-word poet like Amir Sulaiman. Maybe. Money is not everything and I don't want it to define me. If my earnings begin to dwindle because of this then maybe it will be time to get a part-time job or explore other freelancing opportunities because I enjoy what I do and I want to do it fulltime, devoting all my time and attention.
So @nathanmars, you can withdraw your delegation (I think it would be expiring soon anyway). Thanks for your support, I appreciate.
This isn't goodbye. Nobody actually leaves steem for good. You guys would still be seeing a lot of me on here. The only thing that will change is that I will be on here passively.
That will be all for this morning. Going back to reading Medium's terms and conditions so this new account doesn't get suspended.
Powering down to pay the loan I got from @neoxian. I'm not leaving steem
Thats okay, spread your wings mate...do share how it goes...
See ya mate. All the best.
