ROCK CALENDAR: April 27, 1968 Simon and Garfunkel (Simon & Garfunkel) released their famous single"Mrs. Robinson"
Maybe not today, but certainly in April (different references give different dates). But the reason is to show one of my favorite songs and talk about it.
American Duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel wrote this song for the film "Graduate" (released in 1967, the first role of Dustin Hoffman). This song won first place in the USA in 1968 and now ranks 221st in the list of the best songs of all time according to the English magazine New Musical Express. The song is written in the style of folk-rock, that is, to the performance of acoustic guitars added power tools, which gives sharpness and rhythm of the song.
When I first heard it, I was amazed at how skillfully guitar parts intertwine with the voices of singers and the harmony of the song. This song is sung by many still on, including the authors-the Duo Simon and Garfunkel.
But the song performed by the authors heard many, and you picked up a version of the Brazilian singer named Emmerson Nogueira. Great performance, great sound-video taken from u-tube.

Great film. Even though Mrs. Robinson is older, she will never seem old. I also miss Joe DiMaggio- they don’t make athletes like that anymore.
