Yep, going vegan!!!

After all, why not try and see how it feel?

On my first attempt at shopping vegan, it was really interesting to take the time and see what was available as alternative to feed myself...

Gone basic

  1. Carrots and cauliflower, rawness vegetable
  2. bread - tomatoes - for tomato sandwich
  3. Apple, banana & figs - as daily snacks
  4. Cranberry juice - which I use for my smoothie with frozen berries that I already had
  5. Pesto, Garlic & tomatoes - will be use for my wonderful pesto pasta
  6. cracker - to match with my home made humus
  7. Rice milk, to try and replace milk in my home made granola cereal

It's not a big grocery store, I only need stuff for 3 days and I'll be out for the weekend. But again, it took a while that I bought so many vegetables and fruit, and yet it's been a long time since I made a grocery order with so many items for so inexpensive.

Let's see how I hold on!

Sort:

My friends mocked me when I decided years ago to go MEATLESS for a whole month and I know a lot of things about health, protein, sports nutrition, and all the related things.

I almost played pro in 3 sports so I was a bodybuilder too years ago....

I honestly felt great cleaning up my diet and high speed blending only fruits and mostly vegetables daily and eating no meat basically for the month.

I felt so clean inside, and my health improved and I dropped a PILE of body fat, it was just silly actually, it just melted off.

I was not fat either believe me lol

I wish you the best with this, keep blogging about it too.

I used that whole month of Meatless March to learn even more about all this stuff, from the health to the animal cruelty and environmental side of things and everything else.

I already knew a lot from a truth based perspective --- but I really dug in that month every night reading, watching videos and learning.

It really changed me.

In lots of ways and I shared my findings publicly via Fakebook/Twitter feeds too.

Best wishes!

Thank you!!! that is a great energy you just shoot me with. I'm not that against eating meat so much... I mean i would't mind having to kill the chicken I fed for 3 months to eat it, neither eating the fish I catch. It's just about stopping eating the shit the industry and the low cost market put on their shelves for us to feed.... But right now I don't have the space to get my own chicken... so I go the simple way ;-)

So many good reasons to consider these diet changes!!!

Starting vegan :-D ???

I submit my body to the science... We'll see ;-)

Veganism will help you, I am sure :-D Good Luck !

Well done! If you're anything like me, you will want a few treats...some great baking basics are coconut flour; chia seeds (to make chia 'eggs'); coconut milk; etc. Well done. A great adventure.

Tx, interesting!!!! I just red about chia egg, I'll look forward on it ;)

Hi Nick! I just want you to know as a vegan myself I am in LOVE with this post! I used to be the biggest meat eater out of anyone I knew! I lived for rare steaks the size of my head so it was crazy when I made the switch, it came with a lot of effort and hard work but I am going strong and feeling better than ever! Looks like you're prepared :) What made you decide to do this? Also, it goes without saying but you are more than welcome to ask me anything, I would love to help! I love food and have figured out ways to make basically anything I ever craved or wanted plant based now ;) Hope you enjoy your experience, I am excited for you! XOXO

Oh thank you Cece! That is so sweet from you!!! Well after seeing the documentary ''What the health'' it made me flip the switch... I always feel like there was something wrong with the animal industry, so why not give it a try and see how it feel? I can't go so crazy right now, I live away for work and will be moving back in a month, so I try to keep stupid simple, but has of now I can say I sleep better! :)
Thanks for your support!

You should not be purely vegetarian because d
The body needs fat and animal protein to carry out bio-building

Well... there is fat and protein everywhere, not only animal carry them ;)

Looks delcious. It is very inexpensive. You should post your receipt too to prove it. :)

Don't worry I will, ;)

Great choice. Vegan food tastes so much better and it allows you to be so creative with your dishes. good luck!
