The Diary Game: Satisfying My Afang Soup Craving (27-08-2025)
Hello family. @nhiemfon001 is here again to share her diary with you. Today will be a bit different because I'll be doing my food blog. How are you doing? I hope you are having a great day. Stay clued as I share my food blog with you. I woke up today with a great energy. Baby Miracle came visiting and I was so happy to see her.

I have been craving Afang soup for days now. So today, since I felt a bit better, I decided to satisfy my cravings. I went to the market to buy Afang leave, water leaf, meat, fish and other ingredients. When I returned, I washed the Afang and water leaf.

After washing, I kept it outside so that the water will drained a bit. After about 10 minutes, I began slicing the Afang. The Afang wasn't so much so it didn't take my time.

After slicing the Afang, I washed my water leaf and sliced it as well. After slicing the water leaf, I went ahead to pound the Afang. Most persons prefer grind to their Afang but I love to pound mine, although it's a bit tasking. While I was pounding it, my sister was washing the meat,fish and the periwinkle.

When I finished pounding the Afang, I went inside to prepare my soup. I boiled water for the garri. My sister helped me to make the garri. I steamed my proteins with seasonings. I let the proteins to steam for about 15 minutes. I added palm oil to it and a little water.

I added my water leaf, covered the pot and let it cook. I added the Afang later. I love my Afang fresh so I just let it cook for 2 minutes and then I turned off the gas. I dished the soup to my siblings and neighbors.

Afang Soup is one of the delicacies that cannot miss a Nigerian occasion. From the way it's presented to the way it's taste is giving. I love Afang soup and nothing can change it. I hope you enjoyed my blog. Have a wonderful time.
