Achievement 2 @ngonglanceyuh: Basic security on steemit

Hello to people of steemit

My name is ngonglanceyuh I wish to use this opportunity to bring to you my understanding about steemit keys or security.
we all need keys to fully acces our steemit account. In other words, these keys are passwords and are used for security reasons.

***TYPES OF KEYS on steemit

we have the

*MASTER KEY
*TRON Public Key
*TRON Private Key
*Posting private Key
*Active private Key
*Owner private Key
*Memo private Key

***USES of these keys

The MASTER KEYS

The Master key is the most important key. it should be kept in a secret and safe place.This key is used to retrieve or generate all the keys to your account. If your password was lost or if someone has access to your passwords, or your account was hacked or stolen.

The TRON Public key

The TRON account address is also the public key of the TRON account.The public key is the address to which you send the tron tokens.

The TRON private key

This private key has the highest authority over your TRON account and It is used for TRON transactions such as token transfers, freezing and voting.

The Posting key

This key allows me to post, up vote, resteem,rate comment, edit, mute and unmute, follow and unfollow. It is also the basic key that allows daily login to steemit account.

The active key

This key is used for monetary transactions like transferring tokens or powering STEEM up and down. It allows you to access your wallet, open or close it, and also transfer funds from one account to another

The owner's key

It also allows you to change all the other account keys which is why it is called the the most powerful key. Your account cannot be recovered if this key is lost it should be kept offline at all times If your account is compromised, this key will be used for recovery within 30 days at https:steemitwallet.com

The memo key

Memo Key is used to is encrypt and decrypt private messages or transfers that are sent through the blockchain.

public key

Lastly we have the public key can be used to look up associated transactions on the blockchain. it is not required for login on Steemit.com and you don't need to store these safely.

***How did I safe guard these keys

I downloaded it as a PDF file and also printed it on paper and kept it very well in my other files.i also saved it on my Google drive and also wrote it on my diary to keep it offline if it happens I lose my phone.

***Knowing about the TRANSFER of steem tokens from one account to another

I am very grateful to @pbass for guiding me on how to go about with this process. When I logged into my wallet, where I find Steem, there was a dropdown button.

so i clicked on it and selected the transfer. Another box appeared and I enter the account name, the amount to be transferred, and the public memo I want to send the tokens to. I use my active key to confirm the transaction.

***Knowing how to POWER UP in my steemit account

I learned that I can vote for articles with high steem power and it receives compensations.so
I clicked on my wallet with after then I clicked on steem and selected Power Up to switch steem to steem power.

I clicked on the balance and entered the amount of steem. Click power up to convert all available steems to steem power.
