Kitchen guardians (Mr. Cong - Mr. Tao) - December 23 (lunar) — a beauty of Vietnamese culture.

Today I want to introduce a Vietnamese New Year — Kitchen guardians — December 23 (lunar).

On this day, families often clean the altar, house, buy votive gold, carp, flower incense ... to farewell the Kitchen God go back to heaven, with the desire to return to a new year happy, warm, full. Through the generations, the cultural beauty of Kitchen Guardians - December 23 (lunar) remains intact and always respected and preserved by the Vietnamese community.

According to Vietnamese conception, Kitchen Guardians must be done before 12:00 am. Therefore, from the early morning, at the markets, along the streets ... were bustling sellers. The atmosphere is much more crowded than usual. Each person took advantage of the small amounting of time in the early morning to shop for something for meal such as fruits, food and especially Carp - the means to take Mr. Cong Mr. Tao came to heaven.

My family also prepared a meal with the following dishes:
