Is this a good time to buy Steem Monsters cards?

If you have been following the price of cards on the Steem Monsters Market, you would have likely noticed a decline in the price of most cards in recent days, especially the price of Beta cards. In my opinion, this is largely due to the amount of Booster Packs awarded for Daily Quests and season rewards given out over the past few weeks. In addition, those who have been seeking to level up cards would have most likely done so by now.

So where will the price of cards go from here?

This is difficult to predict, but with some very welcomed changes coming, as the founders hinted on Discord, we are likely going to see less free booster packs awarded in future seasons. This will decrease the supply of cards on the market. And with Tournaments scheduled to be released towards the end of this year or start of next year, this will hopefully attract some new users, especially with the attractive weekly prize pool of at least $1600. So the key is how many new users we can attract. If we can make the game more and more skills based and challenging, along with the upcoming Tournaments, in my opinion, this should attract some new players and investors into Steem Monsters, which would in turn boost the prices of cards.

Therefore, I think a good time to buy some cards is after the end of this season when season rewards have been given out. This is a good time as many free booster packs will be awarded, and could be a good time to snatch up some bargains if you are thinking of investing into Steem Monsters or wanting to level up cards.
