Japan News : 50,000 yen benefit for low-income earners

On Tuesday, September 20, the government decided to provide 50,000 yen to low-income earners (households exempt from residential tax).

Approximately 16 million households will be eligible for the benefit, and the government expects to receive approximately 900 billion yen in financial resources.

Does that sound very good to you?
The reality is not so surprising.

In Japan, the child allowance was abolished just recently (households with annual incomes of 12 million yen or more).

The child allowance will no longer be available from the October 2022 payment, when it will begin to be abolished. An estimated 610,000 children will be affected by this revision.

The child allowance is paid from birth until the child graduates from junior high school. If the special benefit is abolished, a child born in April will lose approximately 950,000 yen.

If you have two children, you will not receive approximately 2 million yen.
In other words, simply put, it is a negative policy toward child rearing.

On the other hand, let's look at the transition of households by age group that will receive benefits for low-income groups this time.(households exempt from residential tax)

Of the 900 billion yen in funding, just under 700 billion yen will go to elderly households....

I am not saying that it is wrong to take care of the elderly, but how can this be done while cutting the budget for children for the future?

I don't have children, but I still hope that people who raise children can live more freely in this world.
