The Navigator

Peter had traveled for 200 years in space, he was from the planet Centaurus. He was a navigator, his mission to explore the different planets of the Milky Way. He traveled through wormholes from one universe to another. That is how he came to the planet Earth.

When Peter met the planet Earth, he was amazed by its landscapes, and its crystal clear waters. There he met Laura, the girl who would catch his heart.

Laura lived on the island of Hawaii, she loved nature and every day at dawn she went to the beach to surf. One day near dawn, I see in the distance what seemed like a strange object crashing in the water and sinking into the sea.
Laura quickly grabbed her surfboard and got into the water, to see what it was about, her curiosity overcame her fear of the unknown.

The ship sank quickly, and Laura could do little. When he decided to return to the beach, he saw something floating in the sea. As he approached, he realized that he was a young man. Immediately he swam until he reached the man and when he saw him, he was surprised at how handsome and strong he was.

As Laura could, she took him to the beach and verified her vital signs, she did not see any wounds on her skin, so she was only unconscious. She was about to seek help when the man woke up and looked at her.

Their eyes met and as if by magic, both felt an electricity pass through their bodies. It was as if they had known each other all their lives. They did not need to talk to understand or communicate. Laura did not understand how that could happen and for a moment it was as if space - time had stopped.

Peter told him about his travels and adventures in space. How he had known unimaginable worlds. He told him his whole life and how he came to Earth. Laura was not scared and at the same time fascinated by listening to his story.

Thus they spent a whole day talking to each other about their lives, dreams and longings. Laura and Peter met when they least expected it and fell in love the moment they met. No one understood how that was possible, but it happened.

Peter explained that at nightfall his companions would come, other navigators to rescue him and take him home. Laura asked him if he would return and asked him to stay. Peter told her that he could not stay and that he should return to his planet, that even if he returned it would be in another space - a different time, in the future so distant that she would no longer exist.

Laura and Peter did not need to say anything else, both knew that their love was impossible, but in spite of that they loved each other. They looked into each other's eyes and sat on the beach watching the moon in the distance as their light illuminated them, and accompanied them in that instant they would keep in their hearts forever. That memory that would last forever in the space - time of the navigator.

Peter returned home, but he would never forget that a planet called Earth left his heart in a woman named Laura.
