Wildflowers in the Cascade mountains
I don’t think I’ve ever been more ready for summer in my entire life. Winter in Washington is grey and wet. The mountain trails are very inaccessible compared to summer, due to snow. This past year was nothing short of amazing, thanks to me getting into backpacking. It’s amazing. Washington has some of the most spectacular backpacking in the world. The downside, though, is how ridiculously impatient I am now.. for the snow to melt. I’ve been snow camping a few times, but it doesn’t come close to these colorful mountain scenes. Only a few more months..

Reminds me of Jewel Basin in Montana in spring time. You have to hike or horseback in.
This is Jade Lake, in the Alpine Lakes wilderness. A pretty long hike for sure, 20+ miles.

Man, those flowers really bring the photo together in a different way. I'm San Diego and I'm waiting for the wrath to return. Winters here are not bad in comparison to there locations but it really makes you miss the SoCal sunny weather
You can always hike up in snowshoes with a bouquet of cut flowers to distribute in the snow...
If only this area wasn't riddled with avalanche chutes :(
