Mandala Effect?

The concert tickets are here! Sort of.

There are 3 adults sitting here today wondering about our sanity. We all specifically recall almost one week to the day in this very same room when the odd stuff started.

Our friend @andre-verbrick stopped in and mentioned that the marquee at the local arena announced Aretha Franklin on Feb. 24th, 7:30pm. My husband and I were all in.

Yes, I know the sign in the picture says Gladys Knight. That is the point. Keep reading.

Verified the show on the Aretha Franklin website, the arena's website. Before he left Ron and I had purchased our two 7th row tickets. Good to go.

A few days later we saw her name on the sign and had to grin. We had our tickets on the way.

Received tickets. Didn't open them. They were tickets for Aretha Franklin on Feb. 24th. Went down to the arena to take a picture of the marquee and it proudly announces Gladys Knight for Feb 24, 7:30pm. Gladys!? What happened to Aretha Franklin?

Right back home. Opened the tickets and sure as crap they say Gladys Knight. What!

Wanted to check with @andre-verbrick in person regarding his recollection. He stopped in today and is just as totally confused as us. It is a complete mystery. He knows we bought tickets for Aretha. We know we bought tickets for Aretha. He saw the marquee announcing Aretha. We saw the marquee.

No trace of the Aretha Franklin concert anywhere. No explanation for its disappearance anywhere.

That is how the topic of the Mandala Effect comes into play. Sort of like an alternate, very real memory of a recent event, conversation or experience. Unbelieveable three of us experienced the same recent event with very realistic, exact memories and we were all wrong. Pretty sure this might fit the general definition of the Mandala Effect. Whatever happened it is agreed it tops weird. Tops most everything we can think about. We have to leave it at that.
