what's up steemians? I hope all of you are well during this Covid-19 pandemic.I am doing well.I have already completed my 2nd achievement post.Today I am going to complete my 3rd achievement post named Content Etiquette.

Steemit is a Platform where steemians are encouraged to share quality post which should be created by their own knowledge. But now a days plagiarism is increasing day by day.occasionally I try to find out about plagiarism from different sources. Below I am going to discuss what I came to understand from the Steemite Newcomer`s Community Etiquette Post.

What is plagiarism

Plagiarism is the practice of carrying out the thoughts,ideas or contents of others in one's own name with or without his permission.Plagiarism is also defined as that your article has same meanings and ideas which are already exists in the search engines in millions of articles.we can't specify plagiarism. It may be international,national or anything else.Plagiarism is a heinous act.so,we should try to avoid it.

Types of plagiarism

➡️Self-Plagiarism:

Self-plagiarism is an unethical task.
It occurs when anybody post or shear their own previous work without permission from their Instructor. Self-plagiarism also occurs when a student submits the same assignments in different classes without permission of their teachers or Professor.

➡️Direct Plagiarism:

Direct plagiarism occurs when anybody transcript one's Throughs or ideas word by word without his permission and without giving any source or quotations.It is a dishonest policy.

➡️Mosaic Plagiarism:

When a person borrows a group of work from a source without using any I quotation marks it is known as Mosic plagiarism.It is also occurs when anybody finds synonyms for the main work and maintains the original meaning.It is also an unethical process.

➡️Accidental plagiarism:

Accidental Plagiarism occurs, if a person ignores to cite the source or misquotes the sources without attributions.Everybody should careful when they Research any contents so that it does not creat plagiarism.Accidental plagiarism is a heinous crime and also punishable.

How to avoid plagiarism

Following steps should be taken to avoid plagiarism.

👉Keep the track of that sources which you consult in your research.
👉 Paraphrase from your sources & add your own ideas.
👉 Credit the original creator with proper citation & reference list.
👉 Must use a plagiarism checker before submitting any contents.

We should always use our own knowledge properly and should avoid plagiarism. We will always be vigilant in stopping plagiarism.Thanks to all of my steemian friends.
