14 facts why Dolphin might be more intelligent than you!

Dear steemians, today I will be talking about dolphins, our best friend of the sea. As we all know, dolphins has been one the most sociable and intelligent animal!    

However, below is the reasons why dolphins seem to be more intelligent than humans.     

1. Research has shown that dolphins can be able to see with sound, using their tell-tale clicks which can be able to travel a longer distance bouncing off objects. However, that  allows dolphins to know the distance, texture, shape and movement of the object. 

2. Dolphins are known to be alert always. They stay at the surface so that its blowhole will not be covered with water. Dolphins only uses one side of its brain for breathing while sleeping so as to be at alert. 

3. Research has shown that dolphins give themselves names. They have tone whistle which develop individually. However,  dolphins can still recognize theirs and other dolphins' names. 

4. Scientists researched that dolphins tell themselves when to breathe; and such, breathing for dolphins is not an automatic response like it is for humans. 

5. Dolphins are known to spend a lot of time enjoying foreplay and sex just like humans. But which is not basically to procreate. 

7. Research has shown that dolphins don’t live alone. They are known to be sociable animals. Dolphins are also known to be emotional animal. 

8. Dolphins are known to use broken sea sponges as a protection for their nose while searching for food. 

9. Research revealed that dolphins have the sense of taste. They are said to be able to distinguish between salty, bitter and sour tastes like humans. 

10. Dolphins are known to have 360 degrees of vision which can move either downward, upward, backward and backward   

11. Dolphins love to admire themselves and as such can be able to recognize themselves in the mirror. Dolphins are the most compassionate and friendly animal.   

12 .Research has it that Dolphins can talk and understand each other over the phone.   

13. Dolphins are known to understand as many as 60 words sentences. Dolphins are known to show signs of self-awareness.  

14. Dolphins also offer assistance in the birth of another baby dolphin, and if the birth becomes difficult, the “midwife dolphin” usually help to pull out the baby. However, Other dolphins, inclusive of bulls, will protect the mother dolphin by swimming around her.       

Dolphins are amazing animals, and they keep surprising us with their very intelligent behaviors.
