Food in China, taste in Sichuan (Part 4)/ 食在中国，味在四川（四）

Dear Steemians, today, I'll continue to introduce other delicious food to you. I make a list of the delicious Chinese food I’ve eaten. The following are my personal opinion. （in no particular order）
今天继续分享中国四川的各种美食和小吃。以下排序仅为个人观点。（排名不分先后）

Bobo Chicken 钵钵鸡

Our local drink 当地的饮料

Bobo chicken, which has existed since the Qing dynasty, is one of the traditional snacks in Chengdu and Leshan. In our dialect, "bobo" means crock pots. The outside of the crock is beautifully painted with dragon symbols. To make this snack, some spicy condiments are needed to put in the crock. Then some dishes must be specially processed and held up with the bamboo skewers. After the dishes cool down, people put them into the crock. In summer, we always choose this snack, because it tastes good and doesn't burn the mouth. Of course, the drink is needed. If you come to Leshan, you will find almost everyone eating this food with this local drink（as you can see from the picture above） on the table.
钵钵鸡,清代就已经存在,是四川成都和乐山的传统小吃。“钵钵”其实就是瓦罐，钵外面是画着红黄相间的瓷质龙纹。钵内盛放配以麻辣为主的佐料，菜品在特珠殊加工后用签串制，晾冷浸于各种口味的佐料中。在夏天，我们通常会选择品尝钵钵鸡，因为真的是太美味了,而且不烫嘴。 当然饮料也还是必备的。如果来乐山，你会发现几乎每个人吃着这种小吃，桌上放着一瓶峨眉雪（正如上图可见）。

Ice powder 冰粉

If you ask which is the popular snack in Sichuan, I will tell "Ice powder ". Ice powder is made of Nicandra physalodes. It can help to increase sweating and help cool you off. What is the most important is that it costs little. As a result, it's popular among us. A bowl of ice powder may be cost you about 0.7 dollars.
如果朋友问我夏天在四川有什么巴适的小吃，那我第一个说出口的名字会是冰粉。冰粉的主要原料是假酸浆。冰凉香甜，解暑降火。冰粉因其冰凉、甜而不腻且廉价的特点，受大众的青睐。一碗冰粉的价格大约是5元（人民币）。

Dumplings 饺子

Dumplings has a history of over 1800 years in China. They are one of the healthiest foods you can eat at any time of a year. At the beginning, it became popular in the northern China. Nowadays, dumplings are widespread in most areas of China. We can cook them in many ways, such as boiling，frying, steaming etc. The process of making dips are entirely different. In Sichuan, chilli sauce is basic part of dips. Besides, it mainly consists of soybean sauce, vinegar, salt, garlic, white sesame seeds, chilli powder and so on. Last but not least, eating dumplings represents a wish for the family to be in good health, harmony, joy and happiness.
饺子距今已有一千八百多年的历史,一年四季都适合吃。饺子最初在中国北方最流行，但近代以来，饺子在中国大部分地区都大受欢迎。饺子有多种吃法，煮、煎、蒸等，特色各异。蘸水的制作各个地方口味不同，主要由酱油、醋、盐、蒜、白芝麻、辣椒面等作料制成。中国有句老话“饺子就酒，越喝越有”。
