market friday: PALM SUNDAY

Most of the people here are Christians. We always follow the every events that was written in the bible or if I'm wrong. We followed what is all about in our beliefs. This month in our calendar, the holy week is almost near. It's normal that before the holy week there is a blessing of palms.

I think what was written in the bible was not specified that it should be palm. From what I know as long as it leaves, forgive I was not so sure.

I wasn't aware that today is palm sunday. But every Sunday I always go to church. When I was on the entrance of the Basilica, I noticed that many palms along the street. Many people's selling palm that were made already to a cross or a different one. It is normal because we are in the city, it's hard to find palms.

After the mass, prayer started for the blessing. The father came from the church towards the big stage. People are too many, as you can see it is so crowded.

People started waving the palms they brought, while the priest started to do the blessing also. If you're here you can feel, you can feel the roar of many that were happy of this blessings. You can't escape from pushing because most of the people wanted to be near at priest. They were asking for that holy water to be poured in their palms.

People fall in line with a small space like giving the priest for path. Where the priest can walk through to the stage and the people who were fall in line will receive the holy water also.

Even though it is under of the heat of sun, it will be fine as long as it concerned about beliefs.
