Great work. You even got Mars in the first image. (I think that’s Mars – at least, I saw on the news that it would be visible to the right of the Moon this week.) :D

I think you may be right @momzillanc it looks like it's in the right place.

excellent work, astronomy photography is a combination of equipment, technique, practice and a lot of patience, go ahead and you will see how to get excellent photos.

Thanks @srod it's a lot of fun and the images are getting better the more I practice. My next target is to get a good photograph of the Milky Way. I got one already by pure luck. It's not great but a start.

Nicely done! The night sky is fascinating.

It's so dark where we are that the sky looks amazing on a clear night. I might try a few shots tonight.

Lucky you! I haven't seen a good night sky in years.

I save this read for later but a question for anyone. I've tried capturing the stars at night and haven't had any real good success at it because of all the light pollution around my area. However I was wondering if my camera is capable of capturing anything good if I was in a darker area. I'm using a canon t3 with the kit lens.

It should be fine if you can get a long exposure 10-20 seconds.
