Daphle is a kind of flowering tree It is known as Dambel, Demogola (Chakma) and Aruke (Garo). In English it is called 'False Manggostin', 'Mangki Fruit' 'Egg Fruit' or 'Yellow Mangsteen'. Its scientific name includes Garcinia xanthochymus which belongs to Clusiaceae families. Origin of the plant is Malaysia.

Origin of the deaf tree is Malaysia. There are about 140 species of 'Garcinia' group. Among them, the Daftol species took the first time to Hawaii Island in Albert Jaeger in 1900. Deafflot trees are found in the Sylhet, Chittagong Hill Tracts and Cox's Bazar forests. [1] There was a lot of depleted trees in Bangladesh, but now its extinction has disappeared. It is possible to grow these trees easily in tropical and subtropical regions. These trees are grown in both sunny and shady places. It is tolerant of drought.

The deple tree is four to seven and a half meters tall. Its leaves are bright green, glossy, long-flaped, hinged, and aged needles, 20-24 cm long. Its flower is white, with a diameter of 19 mm. Flowers are from March to May. The fruit is similar to medium-sized apples; May be 8-10 cm long. The fruit is smooth, nozzle needle, and slightly curved; It is green in color and dark yellow in color. [1] When the leaves fall in the winter season, fruit starts to ripen. These fruit shells are aromatic and creampie. There is one or more seeds inside. Fruit taste is sweet-sour. [5] The deaf tree is rich in fruit. When it comes to fruit, it looks very nice to look at.

Duffle is cultivated in South-East Asia for its fruit. Tacky duffles are very important. [4] It is made with jam, jelly, pickles, broth, sauce, cottage cheese, sugar beans and curries. Although separating its seeds and peas from rancid depletion is a little time-consuming. Kacha Deaf is sold in Sylhet market; It is widely used in cooking sesame or pulse. Monkeys and other animals also eat deaf. Purple-Mangostin (Garcinia mangostana) pen can be given on the deaf tree. Thus both fruits and fruits of both deaf and mangostin can be produced on the same tree. Dry Deffle Fruit extract is called gamboge from which water is made from. Duffle also has herbal ingredients. Dangle is a chemical called xanthone, which is believed to have antibiotics and anti-malarial properties. It is used in herbal remedies.
