I have been a fan of NEO for a while now and the benefits are amazing!! Several airdrops were announced this week for NEP-5 token holders.
The newest airdrop announcement comes from Travala (AVA), (previously Concierge (CGE),recently rebranded), to qualify for the AVA airdrop you need to have at least 2000 Switcheo (SWTH) (SWH) in your NEO wallet. The airdrop campaign will begin on May 18, 2018 and the snapshot will be taken on the 18th as well. AVA will be listed on Switcheo exchange, May 22, 2018.

Concierge decided to rebrand to Travala because they felt it was important to have a .com website domain. Unfortunately the domain for Concierge was purchased before they were able to acquire it. Having a .com domain would attract more attention and in my opinion, Travala is more appealing than Concierge.

Yesterday, May 9th, there was an announcement that all NEO addresses that had received a transfer of any NEP-5 token on the NEO mainnet before May 8, 2018 would receive 1000 Master Contract Tokens (MCT). So that means if you at any point, prior to May 8th, had an NEP-5 token in your wallet, you will get 1000 MCT for each token. For example, if you had Ontology and Red Pulse, you will receive 2000 MCT.

There is always some kind of great announcement with NEO and NEP-5 tokens. I am very impressed with the NEO ecosystem community and the way the teams work together and help each other out. It is nice to watch in the different social channels and see members of different teams sharing projects of the other teams. This is not something you see every day and it really says a lot about the teams and where these NEP-5 projects are headed.

Great consolidation, thank you for this. Can you actually buy SWH in the NEO Wallet? I do not have accounts at the exchanges where it is listed as of today.
It does not feel right to actually enter the private key on the switcheo website I have to admit.
You can actually buy it in the Switcheo exchange. You use your neo address private keys to login to switcheo, so if you have neo in your neo wallet then you will be good to go
That is where I personally see the issue. While everybody tells you to keep the private key secret, it is needed for the exchange. I trust this still keeps people away from trading there. What is your point of view?
I agree this does potentially keep some people from using a decentralized exchange (DEX). I understand the concerns some have but as long as you have a secure internet connection and ensure you are using the official website to access the DEX, there should be no security problems.
When using a DEX your information stays local and does not leave your browser. You can create a separate wallet to use for access and only transfer funds from your main wallet that you want to trade. Your funds never leave your wallet until you initiate a trade.
You can login using an encrypted key, JSON or private key and by using a separate wallet that creates another level of security.
I personally prefer using a DEX because I have control of my funds until I am ready to trade. I also like being able to avoid fees to transfer to exchange and the wait time for funds to be available.
There are alot of advantages to using a DEX. Once people realize the risk is far lower than they realize and the benefits of having control of their funds we will start to see more people transition.
I’ve been happy with that exchange too. So easy to use - very impressed compared to other DEX I’ve used.
Also - want to note - US citizens are excluded from the SpotCoin Airdrops.
Yes Thank you for that clarification. I agree that Switcheo is very user friendly and I like that most NEP5 tokens are available in one place.
