Leveraging a Website
In previous posts, I've touched upon the importance of Steem Park snowballing into ongoing projects.
The biggest problem with a grant-based system that a grant is like a single shot of caffeine or adrenaline- lots of initial buzz and optimism but ultimately fizzles out. A fund or donation, no matter how large, will eventually disappear and institutions have to fight an uphill battle to establish some sustainable model of operation before it vanishes.
The UNIQLO Grant won by @musahixson is a perfect example of a seed injection. His incredible public sculpture was a product of a yearly competition hosted by the New York City Parks Department to jumpstart smaller parks in the five boroughs.

What is needed is an ongoing conversation and vision for the park's trajectory. One or two bouts of enthusiasm and development here and there isn't going to sustain donor interest and community engagement. We needed a different “interface” for the future of the park.

파트너쉽을 맺은 브루클린의 공원 (뉴욕 스팀파크가 설치된) 비영리 단체의 웹사이트 제작을 돕게 되었습니다. 기존에 정부에서 진행한 작품 설치 (위 이미지) 등, 공원에 관련해 최신의 정보를 한번에 얻을 수 있는 웹 공간의 필요가 절실했습니다.
웹사이트 디자인은 처음 해봅니다. 스퀘어 스페이스라는 플랫폼을 사용해보았습니다. 리뷰와 아웃컴이 상당히 좋은 제품. 기존의 템플렛을 사용했음에도 불구하고 생각보다 디테일에는 시간과 신경이 많이 들어갔습니다. 스퀘어 스페이스는 디자인에 익숙한 사람에게 더 적합한것 같습니다. 웹사이트 만들기는 현재도 진행중이랍니다.

A website achieves a few specific goals for the Herbert von King Park Conservancy.
First – compile all historical value and development energies into one place
Second – keep all stakeholders engaged
Lastly – show the robust landscape of the park

웹사이트를 만드는 목적은 1. 공원의 역사, 현재 개발과정 정보를 제공하기 위해 2. 공원 관련 단체나 개인의 지속적 참여 격려 3. 공원의 생태 정보 제공 (200년이 넘은 나무들이 있습니다.)
전략적으로 웹사이트를 사용하기 위해 디자인을 하는것이 많은 시도를 요구하는 과정이더군요. 진행중이지만 시간을 더 내어 열심히 해보아야 겠습니다.

Ah I missed the ongoing part and I tried to enter the website. What is the get involved feature doing basicly redirects you to Steemit ? or will it give the contributers a wider explanation about blockchain community ?
Hi @steeminator3000! the website is not available for the public yet. It's funny how you tried to access :P I'm developing the website for a non profit park conservancy. Get Involved feature will sign a person to park newsletter - it is intended to encourage a website/park visitor's engagement.

Steem Park is really great... was one of the first post I saw in Steemit (Iím new in here) and really shocked it to me... so nice! Hope this could be big and big and big for all the world!
