Daily Moments (Day 3)
My intention with this "Daily Moments" series is to post a photograph of one moment most days. A moment that inspires me, ignites my curiosity, or shares a beautiful blip in the universe.
Lake Superior's Ice Sculpture by @mininthecity
Driving along the North Shore of Lake Superior during my annual winter visit, I stopped at one of my favorite places to experience nature's power. As frozen sheets of the lake's surface drift into the rocky shore they break into pieces. This scene shows resulting ice sculptures with North America's most expansive lake stretching to the horizon. Listening to the water and witnessing breathtaking* beauty I was inspired to give thanks for water's healing, cleansing, and life giving properties.
*More accurately, breath revealing, as the low temperature turned my exhalations into clouds.
