Where is Madeline?

A walk through our neighborhood brought us to these incredible wall murals. In Korea the older houses have walls around them to protect from theives. Now most of the thieves went online so the walls are not necessary, but people in the old neighborhoods are not quick to knock down the walls. Instead you can find wall murals on these houses.

It is like a really refined way of expressing graffiti. The owner didn't ask for these paintinggs. Kids in the neighborhood just went up and started painting them. It kid of reminds me of the time of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. The kids in Korea have a great eye for art and not all them are stuck behind a desk studying all days. Some kids actually do something good and creative and constructive.

Now that the winter is over my own kids have cut their mine craft time down and spend a lot of the day playing outside. I hope this starts a new trend.
