Friendship is determined as personal estimation, without stain and without selfishness towards a person, it is strengthened and remains strong with the usual confidence. Friend is one who offers his friendship, friend is one who shows with facts how much he really loves and cares about a person. But, nowadays this term is misused, giving it a minor degree or taking it lightly. The truth, "more is worth two than one," because they get more out of what they do. Also, if one of them stumbles, the other can pick it up. But poor of the one who falls and has no one to help him get up! (Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10) ...

The true friendship according to the bible.

Friendship; Love, Each one must love his neighbor as he loves himself. (Matthew 22:39) The basis on which friendship is based is love, if you do not want the person with the heart, as you love yourself, it will not be a true friendship. If we love God, with that love that he has given us, we should love our friends.

Friendship is not said, it is shown: The man who has friends has to befriend; And friend there is more united than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24) True friendship manifests itself with deeds. The more love we give, the more united we will be with our friends.

Friendship is to be in the good and the bad: At all times the friend loves, the friend is like a brother in time of anguish. (Proverbs 17:17) We have to be friends at all times. True friendship is tested in the face of difficulties and problems. Faithful friends are those who remain before, during and after the tribulations.

Friendship is to act and speak with the truth, Faithful are the wounds of the one who loves; But the kisses of the one who hates are unimportant. (Proverbs 27: 6) True friends are transparent and will always tell us the truth, making us see our failures with love or warning us when we act wrong even if it hurts, but everything will be for our good.

Friendship is to love someone imperfect: There is no one who does good; There is not one! (Romans 3:12) The point is, because we are all sinners, we are all going to fail God and people. That is why we must engrave in our minds "The Grace of God", which is to love someone without deserving it ...

Friendship is not perennially, since we are imperfect beings and we make mistakes, God does guarantee us eternal friendship: If any of you wants to be my disciple, you will have to love me more than your father or mother, more than your wife or your children, and more than their brothers or sisters. In the book of. (Luke 14: 6) You can not follow me, unless you love me more than your own life Friends are not eternal in this life, since as time goes by many of them get out of our way, so God he asks us to love him more than he loves people, because although the years pass, he will always be our faithful friend ...

In the book of, (John 15:13) No one has greater love than giving his life for his friends. There is no better model of friendship than Christ. He loved sinners, he told the truth to those who were wrong, he showed people with his service what they really cared about, and even though he knew they were going to despise him, he loved them to the end. Jesus was betrayed by Judas who was one of his best friends, was also denied by his friend Peter three times while being punished and during his crucifixion almost all his disciples left him, despite everything he always believed in them, loving them greatly.

There is an example of true friendship between David and Jonathan son of Saul, who, despite the persecution of his father Saul of David and attempts to kill him, remained faithful to his friend. You will find that story in 1 Samuel chapters 18 through 20. Some pertinent passages are (1 Samuel 18: 1-4; 19: 4-7; 20: 11-17, 41-42.)

Friends like to be together and defend each other. "Only one can be beat, but two can resist. The rope of three threads does not break easily! "(Ecclesiastes 4:12) True friendship respects the value of the person and requires the best possible. In the book of (Romans 12:10) it says: "Arm one another with brotherly love, respecting and honoring each other." A true friend helps his partner when they know he is experiencing difficulties or problems. "Do not abandon your friend or your father's friend. Do not go to your brother's house when you have a problem. Better a close neighbor than a distant brother. "(Proverbs 27:10) ...

How to cultivate true friendship.
Read Proverbs 17.17. Friendships are one of the most valuable treasures. Keeping true friends with us - those who will laugh with us in good times and who will remain with us in the tests - requires a shared commitment and an investment of time and energy. Good relationships flourish with ...

Transparency. We must be honest with friends and encourage them to be truthful with us. To preserve a strong bond, we can not hide the wounds that may have caused us. Transparency can help people to be better. A solid relationship allows each party to delicately point out mistakes in the other person's life and offer a loving rectification.

Time and communication. Genuine friendship requires time to develop. We have to be willing to put aside other obligations and prioritize spending time together to share our opinions and wishes, and to ask questions that encourage our friends to talk about what is in their minds and hearts.

Gratitude. We all like to feel appreciated. Express gratitude when friends are useful, let them know that we are grateful to have them in our life. In addition, we confirm that we love them when we tell them how much we enjoy a certain aspect of their personality, or we remember an occasion that is special to them.

Being a good friend is a way to serve God. He created us to relate to others, and that is why we should give the best of ourselves to every friend He has placed in our lives.

Finally, we can define that the Friendship according to the Bible is the demonstration of a transparent love at all times through acts done to someone imperfect, who feeds on maintenance through biblical principles. "True friends are those who love Christ . Love your friends in the same way that Christ loves you. "

Sort:

The principle of friendship is also found in Amos. "Will two walk together, if they do not agree?" (Amos 3: 3). Friends are related. A friend is someone you can trust with complete confidence. A friend is someone you respect and who respects you, not based on merit, but based on a similarity of thought.

Finally, the definition of a true friend comes from the Apostle Paul: "There will hardly be anyone who dies for a righteous person, although there may be someone who dares to die for a good person. But God shows his love for us in this: that when we were still sinners, Christ died for us "(Romans 5: 7-8). "No one has greater love than to give his life for his friends" (John 15:13). That is the true friendship!

Amen beloved church, The Lord Jesus Christ gave us the definition of a true friend: "No one has greater love than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do what I command you. I will no longer call you servants, because the servant does not know what his lord does; but I have called you friends, because all the things that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you "(John 15: 13-15). Jesus is the pure example of a true friend, because He laid down His life for us. In addition, anyone can become His friend by trusting Jesus as their personal Savior, being reborn and receiving a new life in Him.

No one is created to live in isolation that is why we need to build good relationship.

Friendship required love, dedication and commitment to one another, bearing each others burden and live in harmony while putting others needs ahead of ours

There is no one or friend that is greater than Christ .
You may have a wealthy or rich freind who always give you things when you desire but he or she cannot be compared to christ who gave you his life .

Wow,this is beautiful, friendship is important and it's not about you,but others, putting your friends before you,Jesus is our perfect example,it's good to have friends especially those that stir and motivate you to fulfill purpose and destiny .

Thanks for your comment @asekevwe, We can affirm with certainty that Jesus Christ is our best friend, the only one who is capable of giving us life for us. He only asks us one condition: to do his will. That is why true friendship demands love and obedience.

The Lord Jesus Christ gave us the definition of a true friend: "No one has greater love than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do what I command you. I will no longer call you servants, because the servant does not know what his lord does; but I have called you friends, because all the things that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you "(John 15: 13-15). Jesus is the pure example of a true friend, because He laid down His life for his 'friends'. In addition, anyone can become His friend by trusting Jesus as their personal Savior, being reborn and receiving a new life in Him.

Amen, great word. Happily, the Bible tells us that if there is a friend who gives everything for us, this friend is Jesus Christ. Only He is our best friend, He never abandons us in the most difficult moments: loneliness, sadness, anguish, abandonment, despair, frustration. Jesus does not fail us, he is our faithful confidant. God bless you.
