NYC handball 🔵 Acton shot.
I willing to bet many of you have never heard of handball - at least the way its played in parts of the United States. Essentially 2 or 4 players hit a blue rubber ball on a wall. The objective is to make the other person miss.
In NYC it's a popular sport and one day you may even see it played in the Olympics.

Thanks - I have thousands of handball images. Probably around the 20,000 range.
I've been working with a non profit organization on and off for 13 years. Perhaps I should do a long post on the NYC handball scene one day.
It must be, this kind of photos you don't get it easily or by luck.
Having done that to a NPO for so long time gives more value to your work.

Thinking about it - I'm surprised I haven't gotten popped in the face more with handballs. The key is to get low by the out of bounds line by the wall and use a long lens.
It's grueling work as the tournaments start at 8am and run until about 6pm. If all the matches aren't done the first day - we come back for a second. The hard part is frying in the sun all day and lugging a lot of equipment (as I also film the semifinals and final matches).
