Opheliafu! I had a go!

I’ve always admired ANYONE that can paint or draw.

I saw this post HERE among all the others, of course.

My efforts amount to those weird little dragons or ponies with funny-shaped heads etc…

@s0u1 bought me a set of pens and they arrived yesterday. I had a proper go with them today, after @opheliafu gave me a bit of advice.

So, I opened up Google and typed in watercolour cornflowers and an array of wonderful images opened up.

I chose one and sat down to having a go, like @opheliafu advised.

This was the first colour I put onto paper – black. Three circles made up of random dots.

Weird little stars – but the colour is pretty…

They don’t look like stalks, do they? I figured I should put them in so I’m not smudging the flower part later.

Cornflowers have feathered edges to their petals, so that’s what I did. I added to the weird little stars and made the edges spikey.

I added a bit more black.

And a bit more green…

And some more…

These pens are watercolour pens with brush tips, so blending colours and/or using water is what they do best.

Second flower gets the water treatment.

And the third.

And to finish off, I added more water to all of it!
