"SteemGigs" Discord Talkshow - It's Not All About "Votes", It's All About "You"

Haven't been in the Steemgigs Discord Talkshow for a while but last Saturday was an interesting talkshow and it gave me an opprtunity to share about this what we called "Curation".

Before I start, I would like to say "be strong" and "get well soon" for our friend, @surpassinggoogle and always keep on praying for the sake of your health and of course, we're always here to pray for you and always will be.

And, congratulations to @enjieneer for being a certified and verified Ulogger and always keep on steeming. :D

When I saw @surpassinggoogle's post last Saturday and seeing the upcoming discussion about curation that day, I felt that it would be exciting and it did got me excite about it. Honestly speaking, I had been in the talkshow before Sir Terry came in and till then, I listened on every words he said about the discussion and felt sad at the same time knowing that he's feeling bad about his health. I When I was listening to him for about a couple of hour, I felt asleep. I wanted to open my eyes and tried to drink a cup of coffee but still, it didn't work. I felt sad about but, let's go on to my comment about this.

I had been one of the Steemians who were greedy when it comes from upvotes. I had been one of the person who's always asking to curate my posts and whatsoever. Being in that situation was a deep problem for me but still, I managed to wake up someday and all what I did was wrong.

So, I had to jump to the first talkshow and I don't know if @surpassinggoogle remembered what I asked him about translating @teardrops in Thai Language and sharing it to my wife, @thidaratapple's fellowmen and it's all been done after the 1st talkshow. I mistakenly asked Terry by using the wrong word "upvote" to ask him it he can "upvote" my Thai friends and he shared about the things that I had never heard before when I started being as a Steemian. I got his permission to translate it in Thai and till now, I'm very happy to see my some of my Thai friends being curated and it works very well and it's not all about upvote, I used to tell them to create and write wonderful posts about and enjoy sharing about their lives or even some good or bad experiences that would make some of the reading to be interested in. Some of them asked me how would the foreigners know and understand their posts in Thai language. A good question that could be answered by more of the Steemians around the globe. There is a translation in which you can translate every languages that we use and it would be understandable if most of the foreigners want to read it. I told them that "curations" are around us, flying above and no one knows when will it come.

Then, after sharing about @surpassinggoogle's #ulogs and translated it into Thai language and they really like the way Terry created it. When I shared all about this with them and told them not to expect proper curations, they just told me that they wouldn't use the tag for "upvotes" only, they would use it because the creativeness of @surpassinggoogle is very unique and it sure is. They told me that they had a chance to show and to share their lifestyles and having the feeling of confidence about this creation of Sir Terry. I actually explained a lot of things to them about this #ulog and most of them are still using it and doing it all the time.

What I'd learnt from Sir Terry was to be who you are and do the things that will make you happy and that's what I did. I taught my wife, @thidaratapple to write the things that she's feeling to and share it to all of us even though some are private but still, she shared most of that. I told her to be who she is and also told her that don't think about upvotes, just think about what you are doing and enjoy being a Steemian/Ulogger and eveything will be ok in the future and time will come to her. The good news is, she was very happy and had the feeling of writing more interesting things about her life or let's say, our life because she never expected to be curated by these 2 awesome whales that you can see in this post here about her #Ulog (18) - I Went Out Shopping To Buy New Clothes For My Children and she confident if she write or will write interesting post next time and I don't know when would it be again. Even me as his husband had the feeling of excitement when I read her post. :D

We all know that "votes" have value and let's admit that all of us here are wanting our posts to be one of those being curated with a high power but now, I had been grew up a lot in this platform and never do expecting if someone would like my post or not. I told myself as what I told my friends and specially my wife.

So, I would like to tell all of you and encourage you all to be confident and give time to yourself and think about something that all of your readers, and I'm one of them, too, to feel excite and the most important thing is, be what you want to be and do your job as it is suppose to be.
