Offering prayers to the Sun

This festival is known as "Chhat Puja" which starts just after Diwali and continues for six days long. It is very popular in North India. Chhat Puja means to worship the Sun. The devotees offer puja to the Sun by standing in the river or pond's water.

I took some pictures in which you find several devotees offering puja to the Sun.
