Emigración forzada parte II

In my previous post I shared with you the reasons that we have thousands of Venezuelans, Ecuadorians, Peruvians and Mexicans to leave our country in search of economic stability and in the case of Venezuelans, we simply wish to be able to satisfy our basic needs through a decent salary, aspect that in our country is totally unreal. Due to the large number of individuals that have left my country for Peru and Ecuador, these countries are modifying immigration regulations, many of them determined by citizens and their complaints regarding some individuals who commit criminal behavior, however It is the common.

As I commented in advance, with much effort I managed to raise $ 200 which due to the exchange control in my country I still have not been able to change from electronic to physical dollars, likewise I would leave the country in the company of my younger brother and a friend, these The last ones would go with DNI or identity card as they say in my country, both have applications for a passport from about a year and a half, however Peru and Ecuador breaking the UNASUR treaty stipulated that they not leave the entrance of Venezuelans with DNI, This means that my brother and this girl will not be able to leave the country legally.

In Venezuela, acquiring a passport legally can take up to three years of waiting, and the cost of it through the web is 50 cents approximately, however the same government blocks the page so that the common user does not have access and the only way to be able to obtain a passport is paying intermediaries (which are the employees of the identification offices) a cost that goes from 600 to 1000 $, now, if I suffered so much to be able to collect $ 200 I would like to know where we can gather two thousand dollars to opt for passports, it is simply impossible.

Sometimes I think I have bad luck or that I simply did something to the universe in my past life to give me back so many misfortunes, the previous week my corrective lenses were damaged, which are impossible to replace for me because of its high cost, costs around 200,000,000 bolivars, although in dollars they are simply $ 27 but, this money for me is inaccessible. In case it was not enough, I had some discomfort in my teeth and thanks to the kindness of one of my students when I taught in the university, I was able to repair one of the cavities that I suffered, however now I have four (this is due to the poor nutrition or the diet I eat). This repair was totally free, but the rest did not. This dental treatment is around $ 50, in other words or I buy glasses to see and repair my teeth or I leave the country to look for a better future, I can not do all three.

I know that many of you can see as normal, entering optics and buying trendy sunglasses, even if they suffer from myopia and astigmatism as in my case, but for me it is a luxury to change lenses. So I will continue with these until they hold themselves. However, we still do not know what path to take to leave the country, but we already know that we can not do it legally, never imagine doing an act like the desperate Mexicans, where they cross the border in trucks, cars or trucks where they are not even suitable for the circulation of oxygen. But the system and the governments with their reforms push us to that.

Migration is not harmful, many are the developed countries that are committed to the reception of emigrants, clearly when they represent a value in the work force, in other words when it comes to individuals with high level studies, in this way the country that receives them is saved in education. For its part, the host nation with the migratory waves also experiences an exponential development in the economy, since these individuals consume goods and services, they also pay taxes that will later be reinvested in public services.

The point is to close borders or ask for documents that are inaccessible, you really should aim for a migratory reform to take advantage of the qualified personnel that flee from your country and above all we talk about human beings, beings that pernotan in sidewalks of terminals or migration offices for can get an answer, there are children, the elderly, pregnant women and especially people who have many days of travel and have not even eaten during all this time. The migratory reforms in Peru and Ecuador were exposed suddenly, omitting the number of subjects that moved across borders, generating then a great problem for these people and their country.

This problem can lead to human trafficking, illicit behavior due to the desperation and anxiety of not having money to cover their basic needs, traffic accidents, because they are walking on busy roads, disease outbreak and above all, the fact of generating suicides due to the desperation as it was seen in Ecuador (a Venezuelan threw himself into a truck because he no longer tolerated the journey walking).
