--- Sacred Geometry, Psychedelics & Simulation Theory - Pt1----
Pt1 Sacred Geometry
This particular journey begins with Sacred Geometry, which is somewhat regarded as "Ancient Wisdom" with quite a bit of woo woo attached when reading the literature attached. However, we do not want to throw out the baby with that bath water, so we must decipher and decode what has scientific basis and what pushes beyond it.

The Flower of Life
First up on the roster is the "The Flower of Life", a symbol which can be found through out our ancient history in a number of locations around the world. From the Foo Dogs in china, to ancient Egypt , in Leonardo da Vinci writings and much more...
There is an air of mysticism and magic which surrounds the symbol and it has even been associated with alchemy.... all things that make the Scientism community scream pseudoscience before even considering there may be data to observe.

Around the world
However, when we look into the symbol beyond the "woo woo" we start seeing patterns emerge, patterns which we can give numerical and mathematical value. THIS is where we start to dance that line of spiritual and science.

FOL
The more we continue to apply numerical values, the more patterns emerge and mathematical calculations become possible, the more we can observe and organize the data in a meaningful way... ie science.

Math... Not Even Once
From the flower of life emerges the 'Platonic Solids', in the ancient wisdom these are thought to be the building blocks of the existence of everything... like the base code for what we are experiencing.

Platonic Solids
As such each of the platonic solids was given an element that it represents:
The Platonic solids are prominent in the philosophy of Plato, their namesake. Plato wrote about them in the dialogue Timaeus c.360 B.C. in which he associated each of the four classical elements (earth, air, water, and fire) with a regular solid. Earth was associated with the cube, air with the octahedron, water with the icosahedron, and fire with the tetrahedron.
There was intuitive justification for these associations: the heat of fire feels sharp and stabbing (like little tetrahedra). Air is made of the octahedron; its minuscule components are so smooth that one can barely feel it. Water, the icosahedron, flows out of one’s hand when picked up, as if it is made of tiny little balls.
By contrast, a highly nonspherical solid, the hexahedron (cube) represents “earth”. These clumsy little solids cause dirt to crumble and break when picked up in stark difference to the smooth flow of water. Moreover, the cube’s being the only regular solid that tesselates Euclidean space was believed to cause the solidity of the Earth.

Platonic Solid Elements
With some mathematical consistency, and possibly a little more credibility, under our belt lets gravitate back to the "woo woo" side of things.
The flower of life is said to be the basis of all life in our universe, a bold claim by any means. Its just a drawing right? How could it be "all life", well its not the drawing or the symbol itself, but what itt represents that is of interest... so lets delve into that a little further.

FOL
As The Flower of Life is created it goes through a number of changes as it 'grows'. It begins with one circle and with the addition of a second circle it creates what is called the 'vesica pisces', which is two circles interlocked. The addition of each circle creates more and more geometric shapes and mathematical 'wizardry' as we continue outward.
But what if we go 3D with this design ? Whatever we are drawing on paper or etching on walls is merely a 2D representation of what we are trying to capture. This is how we found the platonic solids after all, in a 3D space.

Egg of Life
When we replace the circles with spheres the flower of life starts taking shape as more than just a symbol or drawing. Further, when we draw comparisons to cell division, the basis of life reproducing/growing, and some of the stages of creating the flower of life there are some interesting similarities which emerge. It seems that this may be what is being referred to when it is said that The Flower of Life is the basis of all life in our universe.

Cell Division Vs FOL
So we can see that there is some scientific and mathematical data which we can take from this "spiritual ancient knowledge". Yes there may be some elements which are beyond scientific measurement and evaluation, if we humor the stories attached to the data we find ourselves in the realm of the unfalsifiable.
However, there is more to the flower of life than just a symbol, a bunch of circles, etc. the two videos below explore elements of sacred geometry from a specific view, one scientific the other spiritual. They both offer interesting perspectives and insight.
Spirit Science - Sacred Geometry
In the next part of this series we will be exploring the links between the visual effects experienced with psychedelics and what we have discussed in this article regarding sacred geometry.
While this may be more subjective and anecdotal we will be dissecting the experience and attempting to extract meaningful data via discourse analysis.

I enjoyed reading. Hadn't been introduced to the platonic solids all together--appreciated the card with degrees and so forth.
thanks for your comment @kimberlylane , honestly there is so much data about sacred geometry its difficult to put it all together with out being a massive article droning on about it, lol.
im hoping to do a focus on the sacred geometry in music in the near future.
There is so much here to unpack and understand about the 'mathematics' of our existence, and i believe that frequency is the fundamental principal of that existence
Would upvote your comment, but I am seeing it eight days later. I've not been on the platform much as of late.
Especially interesting to me though because I just listened to an intriguing youtube video made by a Swedish woman who is very interested and involved in dreams and she talked about figuring out which specific tone each of us is in tune with--like we all carry with us a musical song.
