A Treatise on Love
Love is something that is ever permanent.
We talk about love growing, about falling in love, about it building over time ...
I do not think that this is the case.
I think love is ever present, surrounding us like the air we breathe.
And just like air, without love we can not live.
We breathe in and out, taking in what we need and expelling what we do not ...
yet
when we are stressed, our breathe becomes shallow.
Over time, this can become a chronic condition, leaving us in a state of agitation and thoroughly un-oxygenated.
Love is the same.
It is always there for us.
All we have to do is open ourselves to it and breathe it in.
Allow it to flow through us, giving us what we need and taking that which we do not.
yet
We can constrict ourselves, close ourselves off due to fear and pain
We can stop love from entering our systems,
only allowing in just barely enough to support our minimum needs
This happens so often and is why people seem to dry out as they get older.
They lose their shine,
the spring in their step
What if you had no fear?
What if you had the courage to live openly, courageously, shining your love through out the world AND letting the love of the world flow through you.
Imagine the strength, the poise, the compassion ...
We all can live in this way.
This is the way that we are born into the earth.
Full of love, full of life.
We can let it seep out of us ...
Or we can breathe it in fully with each breathe.
I choose love
I choose wholeness

Very nice and wise and I love your posts. It is also important that you drink a lot of water. Some old people forget to drink water and that can additionally dry out as well.
