Happy awakening and blessed day for all my family of steemians, thanks to Jehovah and @steemchurch, for giving me the opportunity to express ourselves through the phrase #CelestialChallenge, in today's theme Wednesday: Structures.

Statue of San Marco In Venice.

The representation of Saint Mark in the form of a winged lion is one of the most well-known elements of Christian iconography. It has its origin in the text of the Apocalypse of San Juan (4,7). In this book, the lion is one of the four creatures that places this book next to the throne of God, dedicating praises. The figures of these creatures have been chosen as symbols of the four evangelists. The figure of the lion is also associated with the words with which the Gospel of Saint Mark begins, an appointment attributed to Saint John the Baptist:

"The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Son of God."

As it is written by the prophet Isaiah: "Behold, I send my messenger before you, to prepare the way for you."(Gospel according to Mark 1: 1-3)

Venice the City in the Water

Source

Venice, from its origin, coexists with water: the first inhabitants, to escape the incursions of the barbarians, took refuge in the lagoon, and, because of the swampy terrain, they were forced to build palafitos to live. These palafitos, little by little, were becoming one of the most beautiful cities in the world, living around the water and whose main street is the Canal Grande, through which every day many boats pass from one part of the island to the other. the city; 446 bridges of stone, iron or wood join the streets and alleys of the city. Water is the peculiarity of this city, but it is not always easy, because there is also the phenomenon of "high water", the high tide: water covers the floor of Venice because of currents and wind. This phenomenon is more frequent in the months from November to May. The first part that is submerged is Plaza San Marcos, which is the lowest point of the city, and the plaza is even more spectacular. But as fascinating as it may be, the frequency of this phenomenon is increasing every year and is damaging the foundations of houses and other buildings. In 1966, in Venice there was a great flood that paralyzed the city, as it ran out of electricity. Since then, many projects have been carried out to protect Venice and some have already been activated, but it will take years before they are completed.

Venice is a city located northwest of Italy, is the capital of the region of Venice and the province of Venice, its historic headquarters is declared a World Heritage Site.

This fantastic city was built on an archipelago of 118 small islands, which are united by 455 bridges. The transport works through collective boats ferries called Vaporettos that circulate through the Grand Canal. The boats can be very large or small, the best known are the Gondolas.

Today this beautiful city is known for its beautiful structures built on water. And in turn for being a romantic city.
