Biasanya seluruh masyarakat Indonesia ikut serta merayakan hari kemerdekaan melalui kegiatan festival adat dan budaya yang di selenggarakan di daerah/kota masing-masing. Sebagai warga negara Indonesia aku juga turut merayakan hari ulang tahun negaraku Republik Indonesia dengan cara berpartisipasi pada festival adat dan budaya yang berlangsung di kotaku yaitu Lhokseumawe, Aceh.

The New Yam Festival is a festival that does not call for a long holiday. It is usually done within 2-4 days depending on the family.
I would not want to travel for a vacation during this period of the festival. I would love to stay in my country celebrating with family, my first reason is that the time period of this festival is short and it is not even regarded as a holiday in my country, except if one decides to make it a holiday for himself and family.

_{Around the world, there are various occasions;people celebrate that many of us are even acquainted with! In the above, our friend describes an occasion;named 'Yam Festival!' They celebrate for two to four days. The best part she mentioned;about the high fuel costs, for which she could not dwell anywhere. However, we selected this post in our winning list because of her engagement.}
