Week 2 Thoughts
Ugh, another week, another loss for yours truly. Congrats to all the winners of week 2. What Stank? has a BIG lead in the points and is the clear team to chase. It's time for me to shakes things up for week 3. This week I am paired with our commissioner, @full-measure. We both are still seeking our first W, so good luck this week.
Standings, Moves, and Waivers
One stat I like to look at is who are the active managers and what is my waiver position. I am curious, why does Steem Powered and What Stank have smaller waiver budgets than the rest of us and what is that budget used for?

I'm the STREAM POWERED horse. Despite eeking out a win this week, I'm not really thrilled with how my first two weeks turned out, which is why I blew my metaphorical load on Gio Bernard and spent all of those FAAB dollars. It limits my chances at getting a quality waiver pickup in future weeks, but I'm desperate.
Looks like both you and FM have good teams, and have gotten a bit unlucky so far. I think you have the edge this week.
I like that you both have the Thursday night game defenses. A fun way to kick off the matchup!
I like your move; you only spent $25. That’s not too bad for a RB that you desperately need. You still have $75. He should produce 12-18 pts weekly for you with more touches.
I thought I picked the better defense on Thursday too but looks like @full-measure won that battle. Our matchup will be close this week.
I dropped the ball on Bernard. I looked at him a little but I forget what happened, I didn't come away realizing that Mixon would miss time. Oops.
I don't know that I would have bid that much anyways, especially since I also have the #1 -- so I can be like "checkmate, bitches" if something irresistible shows up.

The waiver budget is also known as FAAB, free agent acquisition budget. Every Tuesday (or after the Monday night game sometime,) players go on the waiver wire. If you make a claim during Tuesday, you can place a bid of how much FAAB you want to use. Yesterday, I placed a bid on Geovani Bernard for $15, but was outbid. Therfore, I didn't get the player. On Wednesdays, all players are free agents and you can pick them up at anytime without using your FAAB. Once your FAAB is gone, you can't get players off the waiver wire, but can still pick them up Wednesday when they're free agents. Hopefully that makes sense?
Thanks @boatsports90, that makes sense. In my other league, the waiver wire is first come to those who have a higher waiver position, but not based on the waiver bid, so that's where I got confused. I guess my question now is, does not waiver position mean nothing in our league?
Yessir no problem! Waiver position is the tiebreaker if two or more people bid the same amount on a player, so the position definitely means less to us, but if there's a couple guys who use all their FAAB and try to claim a guy, then the position would be important again.
